Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomDespite numerous emails and texts, we arrived at the property with no idea how to gain access. It was by chance a member of staff passed us and informed us where to pick up the keys.

United KingdomI have no complaints about the property, but the way in which we were treated as guests was disappointing. Some time before our stay we were informed by the Kevin Apartments that due to ongoing works we needed to collect the keys for the apartment from a different hotel some distance away from where we were staying. On arrival at said alternative hotel we were informed that the works had been completed recently and that we needed to go back to the original hotel. On arrival at the hotel, we were surprised with the requirement of a “£300 preauthorisation payment”. At no point were we made aware of this requirement, and after challenging it while reading the check-in paperwork (which included the amount as being only £250) we were told that we could only pay £250, which was suspicious. We noted our frustration from the run-around we had been given, and miscommunication following that. The reply, rather than explaining the nature of the payment, was to say that they would lose their job if they didn’t take the payment and how difficult Covid had made things. Rather than apologise or accept responsibility for causing the disappointment, or articulate clearly about their policies, we were offered complimentary breakfasts. The customer service after this interaction was polite and friendly, but the confusion and disappointment which the initial conversation caused really soured the experience.
The property was easy to find, perfectly clean and well supplied with the expected utilities and equipment. It was full of period details as well as a lovely open plan kitchen and living room.

United KingdomWe had to collect our keys from their sister hotel which was either a taxi journey or 20min walk (with bags). They did not tell us this until it was too late so we couldn't cancel and rebook somewhere else. They also did not give any indication that this other hotel was so far away. We were arriving in Glasgow earlier than expected so went to the hotel to ask for the keys to leave our bag in the apartment as we had booked lunch. They refused even though the apartment was ready. We left our bags at this hotel and headed for lunch. We then had to get a taxi via the hotel to check in and collect our bags, check in was not a smooth process. The man at reception was extremely slow and did not care our taxi was waiting. We eventually got to the apartment half an hour later and an extra £20 down. They are now refusing to give me compensation for this extra money we had to spend. They also expected us tp do this trip again to check out the next morning even though the cleaner arrived at 11am. After refusing to come back to the hotel with the keys they eventually said to put through the letterbox. They need to invest in a key box so future guests do not have to put up with this.
It was clean.

United KingdomA very bright light at the back of the property where the bedrooms were located was annoying all night.

United KingdomOverall the apartment was a mess and not what I expected. Plug for light in bedroom was broke, switch was cracked, window had crack with cello tape over it, scratch marks on walls , ceiling falling apart, weird smell, paint on door all chipped and patchy, phone in front foyer was smashed, when flushing the toilet the handle stayed down, living room table all warped with marks on it , other table leg was loose. This is all things we noticed within 20 minutes of arriving. I can’t believe how much we paid to stay at this apartment when this was the conditions. Took pictures of all things I named above to ensure we do not receive blame for any of it. Also I can’t believe there was a £250 damage deposit considering the state of the apartment as it looked like plenty of damage had been done beforehand.
Location was great , brilliant high ceilings , bed was comfy. Collection of the keys was easy.
