Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Stayed here for a Friday night, received a friendly welcome and very helpful from the gentleman who checked us in. The room was warm and cosy with a really nice view out onto the promenade and Irish sea. Choice of either cooked or continental breakfast in the morning

Everything was good nothing to fault
Welcoming host, looked after you moment you enter the hotel. Good modern bedroom with shower. It's quite for a good night sleep. Hotel has a snack bar, yummy breakfast and really enjoyed chatting with the owners, who mentioned that hotel will be closing for 6 weeks from 2-Jan-23 for cosmetic refresh to all the rooms. I'm looking forward to that and will definitely bring my kids as both Pleasure Beach and Sandcastles water park are short distance from the hotel. So will definitely return to Blackpool and stay here again.

The decor was a little on the dated side and in need of a revamp (excluding the dining room). also, there was a pool table, but it didn't have the right number of balls to play. However, we didn't ask the staff if they had anymore but if they were all there then we would have probably had a game.
I really loved the location of this hotel. Traveling with a young family, it was important that we were close to the attractions but still far enough to get the quietness on a nighttime. There is a tram stop and bus stops just on the other side of the road which we utilized during our stay. Room was lovely (a little on the small side) but other than that it was clean and well presented. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble for them.

I would of liked a spare toilet roll we ran out on the night. Another pillow would of been great too.

Mild criticism. The paid for separately, breakfast was fairly basic and nothing to write home about. What happened to the bacon? Not quite a full English without it!
Very friendly, helpful and accomodating staff. The room my friend and I shared was small but fairly well equipped, clean and comfortable. It was nice to have plentiful tea/coffee making facilities and overall, it was great value for money.

The location was really good, perfect for us as we were just a few minutes walk away from the pleasure beach and also just opposite a tram stop which were very regular so we were easily able to access the rest of blackpool without much effort. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming, room was nice with a sea view.
