Room walls thin so noise from other guests, breakfast not available, tap water not hot, steep stairs for elderly dog.

Excellent value, clean, dogs welcomed, large lounge, no smoking, easy parking, wonderful view, easy access to good dog walking area.

Had to take a very steep staircase to get in the room and the beds were a bit uncomfortable but other than that i recommend.

Nicely decorated rooms, with coffee and tea making facilities, a lovely guest lounge, and the host was very warm and welcoming.

It is very clearly advertised that there is not breakfast or evening meals so can not complain and to be honest this did not bother me as I am not a morning person! However I can imagine some would like food facilities - all though they do provide microwaves and a dining area.

If you can stay in the deluxe room I would recommend this - this room was spacious and with one of the best views I have seen out of a hotel room. Staff lovely and very attentive - There has been mention in other reviews of alot of noise, I found this to be untrue - My room was right next to the living room / guest area and I was not disturbed once - I stayed for two nights and both nights slept like a baby.

The windows were set in the angled roof, so not much of a view from the room, but not really a problem.

The room was cosy but sufficient for a comfortable night's stay. I knew breakfast wasn't provided but was available nearby in the town.

It's not a game changer, but if breakfast was added as an option, this would really push up the rating However, as we don't normally have a big breakfast, it was no issue for us.

Unfortunately there was no hot water in the morning so had to have a cold shower. Also, parking was difficult as we were a large family group but the owner moved some vehicles for us

Stopped in the deluxe double room with lovely views for a great price. Such a friendly guy who was looking after the place as his parents were away. Highlight was the pet pig who was in the garden in the morning. Dog friendly, other family members took a dog. Would stop there again if in the area

Screeching stairs and floors. Bed frame would also make noise while turning in sleep. Can do with a new mattress as it feels like they have seen good times. No breakfast availability even though, we were told at booming that take away is available for £5 as long as we let them know a day early... Clearly not the case as we were told that no chef.

There was nothing to dislike.

The host was friendly and helpful It was a lovely place with a comfortable bed and a good sized room , with a good bathroom with nice big shower. The property had lovely views from it's high position on the hill.

View outside is stunning. Young lad who looked after us was excellent, really welcoming and willing to chat. Room was adequate - its not a premier inn but you get that homely looked after feeling

It was very loud overnight with the floor in the corridor amplifying the noise of footsteps which were ongoing until early hours of the morning. It was loud enough to keep me up when I'm a very heavy sleeper. Beds were hard but okay to sleep on for a night or 2. It was expensive for what you get when compared to others in the area.

It was clean. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and felt homey.
