Great stay, ideal location, staff friendly & accommodating & the pool & spa was a relaxation bonus!

We were upgraded on of the rooms from superior double to executive & to be honest - the superior one we had was better. It had a balcony & was bigger in size. There also wasn’t any noticeable difference in what you got in your room like coffee/tea etc. Only real negative was we didn’t find the pillows comfortable but that’s just personal preference

Loved the spa & pool, size of the rooms were great, location is so ideal for us, expect it to be quite noisy with how popular the hotel is & location but no complaints there

The bathroom was rather small but the water was hot and the shower was great.

upgrade to executive room on the 8th floor was a lovely surprise with an excellent view towards tower bridge and The Shard.

Awful nights sleep. Noisy neighbour, TV and music blaring. Walls didn't keep noise out. Called down to reception at 4am when couldn't take it anymore. Staff were great and came to the and asked him to turn music/TV down, it quietened for a while but ruined our stay.

    Great staff and facilities!

We loved almost everything but the bathroom let the room down a little. The shower was great but the bathroom looked a little dated and was small compared with the size of the bedroom. Also, It would have been nicer in the pool area if the lights over the loungers were a bit brighter because I would have liked to lie there reading a book but the lights weren’t bright enough to do this.

Great location and fabulous view from floor 10. Staff were brilliant. I asked for a complimentary upgrade as our trip was to celebrate my 50th birthday and we were upgraded to an executive room with a view of London Bridge and The Shard. The view was amazing! We also got a complimentary voucher for a drink in the bar which was a lovely place for a drink. We checked in on the day of the London Marathon and we were given a complimentary glass of wine at check in (I don’t know if they do this everyday, maybe just because it was Marathon day). Our room was beautiful and we had a sofa to enjoy the view from. We spent hours sitting there admiring the view when we got back to the room after dinner in London. The pool was large and there was also a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Overall, a really lovely place to stay, and we would definitely stay again as a treat to celebrate a special occasion.

The food in the hotel restaurant. I eat anything, have no dislikes but the food ordered was 1. insufficient to be called a meal 2. also unedible, literally. 3. The only thing which tasted like anything was fish and chips which the 3 of us shared and left to find something to eat.

excellent room and facilities and location and breakfast

It's a good hotel in the centre of London City, very close to Tower Bridge. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms are big and comfortable. It's a bit of an old building so it's not very modern.

The air conditioning was a little noisy and there was no light above the cupboard in which the safe and other useful items were located, which made it impossible to read the safe usage instructions without a torch.

Room was well appointed. Bathroom included separate bath and shower. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The view was limited but acceptable for a city hotel. Most importantly the room was very clean.

We would have liked to reuse our towels but there was not enough space (or racks, hooks) to hang them up to dry. The water provided was from Spain - I'm sure there would be more local solutions. There was only a fixed rain shower head - I would have appreciated a handheld showerhead.

Breakfast was incredible! Huge selection, omelette made fresh to order, great porridge. Upon arrival we received a free upgrade to an executive room. This was spacious with a huge and comfortable bed. Tea, milk, and even hot chocolate was provided. Staff was very friendly and helpful - thank you!

Restricted timings for family swimming. Was one of the reasons to pick this hotel and there was no fore warning that there was a restriction for children to use the pool.

Lovely hotel, great to have a family room with 2 queen beds for very reasonable price. Clean, tidy. Couldn’t get the TV work but we only stayed 1 night and wasn’t an issue. Our room overlooked Tower of London which was beautiful.

We booked a superior room. The size room the room is certainly superior and so is the furniture in the room. However... The bathroom is far from superior. It's old and worn and rather small. The walls, especially where the TV is installed, are far from soundproof (even though this is advertised in the room listing on Booking). We were kept awake by our neighbours' TV until the wee hours of the morning on four of the six nights we stayed at the hotel. It seems that on the spot where the TVs are installed back-to-back, the wall is thinner than in the rest of the room. Really bad planning. The wardrobe/closet is located behind the entrance door, in a dark corner. No light in the closet. We had to use our phones to shine a light in there when looking for our daily change of clothes.

All the staff are exceptionally friendly, accommodating and helpful. Location only two minutes walk from Circle / District line tube station Tower Hill. The room was cleaned every day. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom amenities/consumables were plentiful and of good quality. The swimming pool!

We had a great few nights away in the hotel
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple
    • Superior King Room
    • Stayed 4 nights

The duvet was very thick and we quite often woke up in the middle of the night sweating, the aircon was very noisy so we couldn't sleep with it running. There was a flat roof outside our window that was covered in litter that meant if we opened the window we heard wind pushing it around. 2 of the 3 lifts broke down during our stay meaning there was often a long wait to get the lift and get to the ground floor.

Hotel is in a fantastic location within the city of London, so much is right on your doorstep; Tower Hill tube station is a 2 minute walk away and made it very handy to get around the city. The hotel was clean, nice decor, there was always sweets or biscuits at reception for guests. The staff were very polite and helpful.

2nd stay here and didn’t disappoint. Yes, one lift wasn’t working but you just have to have some patience which people seem to be lacking these days! Bottle of red complements from booking.com was a lovely addition x

Unfortunately, there were 3 lifts, but 2 were out of action, we were on the 8th floor which meant having to wait for long periods of time. This was the only downfall to our stay.

The hotel was stunning, and the spa and pool area was so relaxing. Amazing location, very close to tube station, and we had the tower of London on our doorstep.
