This is a charming little hotel in a quiet street in Kensington. The room was bigger than I expected from the picture, and the beds were very comfortable. Everything was clean, and the room was serviced with fresh towels every day. Wonderful coffee in the cafe.

I didn't realise that I would have to share the toilet and shower facilities; I had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to the bathroom, which was fairly inconvenient. There was no kettle or tv in the room. I couldn't turn the heater on in the room and there was no extra blankets provided, so it was a bit chilly. The bed cover (not linen) was stained. The bed was uncomfortable - hard and I could feel the springs while laying down.

The room was fairly clean and quiet. The bed linen and towels were clean. The bathrooms were clean and warm, had hot water and some soap provided. The check-in process was simple and no hassle (the little note on the key with all the key info was helpful) The location is probably the best thing about this hotel.

This was a truly inviting and comfortable hotel that me and my friend stayed in. As students looking for a nice yet affordable place in London, this hotel was very very close to perfect!! Additionally, I cannot say enough about the kindness and warmth of your staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone we encountered went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for which truly made our stay memorable. And the Iced coffees were amazing! We had them every morning as a way to start our day! Thank you for providing such a lovely environment for us. It's clear that you take pride in what you do, and it certainly does not go unnoticed. I look forward to returning to your hotel in the future.

Double fire door to room was difficult to maneuver through with luggage.

My room was on the road side and I had quite a lot of noise from cars, and sirens. It’s only wasn’t the best night sleep, I’ve ever had, but at the price I paid, it was better than I feared.

The mattress was thin, a buffer on top would have been a big improvement. Some refurbishment is needed, but mostly cosmetic.

Checking in and out was very smooth, the staff were all very friendly and the place was extremely clean, so all the basics were excellent. Expect a classic, venerable bed and breakfast type establishment with long staircase, not a fancy hotel. Plenty of transport options nearby or walkable. Staff also very helpful if needed, for example, quickly mending a radiator.

I can't really think of anything that I didn't care for, all in all it was a nice base for a few days visit to London. I spent most of my time out and about and mostly just short relaxation and sleep at the hotel. Wasn't necessarily the type of property where you would spend a lot of time, although the sitting room looked pretty cozy.

Location was very good for transport access, restaurants etc. The room was nice, compact but comfortable, shower was hot and clean . Staff were quite nice, coffee and croissants, and other continental breakfast fare, available at the Cafe in the morning, were a nice additional. Close to O2 Empire Shepards Bush for music, which I attended.

The room description said that the room had an in-room wash basin and clothes rack and a communal shower/toilet. However, the room did not have an in-room wash basin and the clothes rack only had space for 4 hangers or so, and the staff said that none of the rooms of the type that I booked had a wash basin. The small toilet that was nearest to the room did not have hot water at the sink, and the larger toilet 1.5 storeys down did not have a working soap dispenser for the common sink in the toilet. Room only had one light, which was a bit dim. Note that the room is on the highest floor and there are no elevators.

When I requested the receptionist for a kettle, the friendly receptionist retrieved a 1-litre electric kettle for me to use for the duration of the stay. Bed was comfortable. Room and shower water temperatures were comfortable too (mid/late Nov). Not many trains go to the Kensington Olympia station that is near the hotel. However, there are bus stops a short walk from the hotel that have buses to nearby Underground stations.
