The wife found it a tad expensive for a glass of prosecco although enjoyable in the surroundings! Wish we had stayed for Sunday lunch

Room exceeded or expectation as we changed rooms last minute when bringing our dog ! Breakfast was superb and they even made up a seperate room for us with the dog! I did make use of the Spa as my wife walked the dog around the well attended grounds and then stopped for a drink in the day cafe with the pooch which was lovely .

£15 per person per hour to use the spa facilities felt a bit unfair

Internet was poor in room. Not fit for purpose and couldn’t work or watch films.

Unfortunately the bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Neither of us slept well which was such a shame because it was a huge bed. I don't like the fact that for this price you have to pay to use the spa for an hour or two hours.

Lady at the spa quite rude from entering she kept going on about the closing time came to jacuzzi to remind us we paid for an hr but got asked to leave 10 mins before when getting ready she kept coming in the changing room to make her presence known …. Very disappointed as the time before the ladies where lovely even let us stay longer

Bed was a little hard for us and 2 singles joined together so ridge in middle.

I was booked into the pool area in the morning for 7am. Sadly when I arrived there was no one on the desk and when I found my way, the pool area was being cleaned the whole hour with a loud pressure washer and strong detergent that got all over me, despite the cleaner kindly offering me slippers. I was unable to stay nor use the steam room (it smelled very strongly of damp).

Unfortunately the building, being old, has little noise insulation. My room (farnborough) was above the kitchen and it was clear to hear people talking, plates clinking, people working below. This continued until the final clean down of the kitchen at around 11:15pm. In the morning the noise started around 6:30am as they prepped for breakfast. The result was the worst sleep I've had in quite a while. I mentioned how bad a sleep I had during checkout, and the receptionist suggested requesting a room in the East wing, or Spa buildings, if I ever return as these are more modern and quieter.

Room was very large and staff extremely attentive and well trained. The spa was nice and has both inside and outside sauna, indoor steam room, indoor pool and gym. The location is excellent for a do at the Dallas Burton polo club.

Not much we were very kindly upgraded to an Orchard Suite which was Lovell a very spacious room with a lovely bathroom. This was very kind and I am not wishing to really make any complaints. However the issue was the room was very warm and when you went to turn the temperature down it seems it was always set at 20 degrees. If you requested a lower temperature it would jump back automatically to 20 degrees and the room temperature was generally on the very warm side.

Very smart looking property with old country house charm. There are a couple of more modern properties as well but overall very comfortable and in good condition.
