Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe steep steps up to the front door and the steep internal steps - it could have been problematic for people with walking difficulties Our room was across the corridor from our private bathroom which could have been embarrassing for the middle of the night wee depending on what your nightwear was like!
The back gate led to the common where we exercised our dog - it was amazing the breakfast was to die for - I had pancakes, fruit, yoghurt and honey, hubby had full english Very clean and had good Covid precautions in place They accepted dogs free of charge

United KingdomNothing to add really. Only the room being a little small and at the back but we booked it at a very short notice, so we have nothing to complain!
A lovely Victorian house overlooking the Vales of Gloucester and Evesham, and the Malvern Hills. Adequate parking, although on a slope. A very warm welcome upon arrival and offered us coffee and delicious cake whilst enjoying the views! The owners are both Deaf aware and were wearing clear visors to aid communication. The room, although a little small and at the rear (not really an issue as it’s in a nice setting) but very clean and comfortable, plenty of pillows and cushions. The tea/coffee facilities were good and two large bottles of water provided. A good choice of breakfast which was served quickly and were excellent. The owners were happy to provide alternatives for those with dietary needs. Also they were able to recommend nearby pubs. This property is near Winchcombe and ideally situated for visiting Sudeley Castle and Gardens (worth going), Gloucester Warwickshire Railway (stations at Cheltenham Racecourse, Broadway, Winchcombe and Toddington but best to park at the latter), Broadway village which has good independent shops, pubs and cafes/restaurants (the Indian restaurant is very good) and Hailes Abbey plus a nearby farm shop which has a cafe.

United KingdomBoth the property and the hosts were lovely. It has amazing views and the rooms are brilliant, with big comfy beds. The breakfast is very nice and the whole atmosphere while serving it is really relaxing. It is the cleanest property I have stayed in the UK thus far. Love the fact that it is pet friendly property as well.

United KingdomPaid for double room; got a twin. Not the end of the world but was rubbish to have push beds together etc. Annoyed we got the room with bathroom across the hall. Unhelpful with dogs. But the hotel was probably full. So not complaining - just would advise you ask for a different room.
Owners welcome was lovely - coeliac friendly goodies on arrival. Location awesome!! Beautiful walks on Cleeve Common hill. 10mins drive from Cheltenham centre. Free parking. Plenty of room refreshments. Super kind towards our puppies.
