More maintence items noted in room, missing trouser press control knob, Some loose trim on chair. Shower was very hot and unable to turn down to a more comfortable level.

Reception staff were not friendly, the breakfast (a buffet which I dread anyway) wasn't great and the shower leaked

Very attractive period building with a conservatory and lovely outdoor area. Lunch in the bar was good and the staff on that side were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, for an executive suite, but it was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.

The mattress is old and need replacing, there was an old champagne cage behind my bedside table which suggests the room wasn't clean enough, the shower is a little on the small side, it's a little expensive considering the rooms are a little tired

The staff are friendly, my room was large, the English breakfast was excellent, the room was quiet despite a wedding reception taking place

We enjoyed it all and we will definitely book to stay again in the future.

The room was spacious and overlooked the garden which in spring/summer months would be nice. Very quiet during our stay. The breakfast was excellent with a continental and cooked breakfast to choose from. The staff were lovely, we had a quick bite to eat and a drink on arrival.

Shower head in main shower needed cleaning or changing. Spray not quite powerful enough.

Beautiful old hotel with lots of character. We had a free upgrade to a junior suite,which was unexpected and appreciated. Lovely big room with large bed. Bathroom with a spa bath (which unfortunately we didn't get time to use). The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We had one evening meal in the bar area which was excellent. All in all a lovely hotel which I would recommended.

There was nothing to not like!! This is no reflection on hotel but thought I booked a room with double bed but we got 2 singles…. I am sure if I had spoken to reception and they had space they would have moved us but were only had 2 nights

Rooms are quiet warm and comfortable bar area nice to sit and have a drink. Breakfast really good and staff are really helpful x

Room service food quality was poor (bread / sandwiches) were of basic/ budget standard. Breakfast buffet, again the bread / sausages / bacon) were economic/value quality which is a shame considering the nice 4* hotel.

Our second stay here, lovely old hotel and beautiful grounds, loved the garden rooms, comfortable bed and rooms were spotlessly clean!

The hotel was welcoming, bedroom spacious and comfortable, bathroom well equiped including bath with shower hose, would have preferred stand alone shower, breakfast staff were helpfull and food was adequate.

mum was dying in Hutton View care home. We needed somewhere to stay overnight. We booked late at night and your hotel was very accomodating

The shower.

It was a lovely place to stay. The staff were exceptional. The only problem we had was the shower was dysfunctional. Water went everywhere, making the bathroom floor slippery. We didn't complain because everything else was so nice.
