No quilt cover on my bed, when I requested one at 6.30 it took 3 hours to get one. Room was cold and drab and holes in the wall behind the bed.

No kettle and tea/coffie in a room. It was no hotel fault, but there was some break down and there was no water all evening and mornig, can't even wash hands.

Room was in desperate need of decoration. Even just to make it look decent. There was nowhere to hang up a dress and suit, the one hook we did have was falling out of the wall.

Was quite loud when sleeping people right outside of our door.

Staff very friendly, good fun entertainment in the bar, but with the residents in mind. The music and drink was stopped at the appropriate time as to not disturb those not participating.

It was much more basic than expected, I may have missed it in the info but there were no tea making facilities which was expected and very disappointing. Also there was what we felt an overcharge for the food, the explanation given to us by staff who were not on duty when it happened was unsatisfactory.

Sadly we really didn’t like the property most of the staff were friendly

Kettle and tea/coffee not in room so requested to provide whilst out. Disappointed as late night and designated driver for evening was unable to have drink upon return.

Hair dryer kindly provided on request but had to wait nearly 20 minutes

The room was very basic. The bed was hard & the facilities meagre. If the lodge wish to compete with other local accommodation sites, they will need to up their game somewhat. Tea & coffee in the room would be a good start.

The staff were friendly & helpful, & the food was reasonably priced & basic - very tasty. I particularly liked the only breakfast I had there, & the kind lady who. managed the lodge let me carry out some of my work in the breakfast room.

The bathroom was very small and shower cubicle somewhat of a squeeze to get into due to lack of space to open the sliding door very much. No bin in the bathroom or bedroom. Only a roll-down blind, no curtain, which meant light poured in around the edges. No air con: although it was a hot weekend and we appreciate this is not no fault of the owner, the room was stiflingly-hot, as if the blind had been left up for the sun to stream in, and whilst the window did open wide, we didn't like to leave it open, as it was so wide-opening, and the room was on the ground floor facing onto an old bowling green, we felt slightly uncomfortable that anyone could have climbed in. (luckily I'd brought a small desktop fan with us in the car so that helped a little bit) There was also a TERRIBLE smell in the area, as the lodge is right by the sewage/water treatment plant. We were lucky that the room was not directly downwind of the smell but there was no escaping it outside of the lodge (having a drink in the beer garden)

The room was clean and tidy, with clean towels provided and a bar of soap in the bathroom. The staff on the bar who checked us in were very friendly and helpful on arrival. There was lots of parking available. It was very quiet at the lodge.

Bed wasn't that comfy and the blinds let in a lot of light so I was awake very early.

The room was basic but clean. Plenty of towels provided and some mini toiletries which was a nice touch. We didn't eat there as the day we visited they were not serving food, but we did enjoy a couple of relaxing drinks in the large beer garden.
