Shower was ok but not very powerful and you couldn't drink the tap water.

A manor house hotel with real character. Huge room with a fantastic and massive 4 poster bed ( room 2 ) . All the staff were helpful and polite. This hotel had lovely old panelling , ornate ceilings, stuffed animals and squeaking floorboards to match - a fantastic grand dame of an hotel - would definitely recommend a stay 5*

There was a sign in our bathroom which stated you couldn't drink the water, but we weren't provided with additional water we had to ask- by the time we realised this was the case it was also quite late as we were getting ready for bed so a little annoying. The shower was cold. Otherwise a great stay.

Beautiful location, lovely building, clean, amazing food, friendly and welcoming staff

The glasses and cups in the room were not clean. Also the shower has very bad pressure and Luke warm water.

A beautiful Manor House with stunning decor throughout the building. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking.

Mattress was slightly on the firmer side, occasionally uncomfortable. Water pressure for the shower wasn't great, took a while for the water to warm up, didn't really get hot.

The buffet breakfast was lovely good amount of cooked and continental options. Evening meal was great, lovely setting limited choices but food was beautiful. The service from the staff were fantastic on each occasion. They were great help and providing information that we needed. Hair dryer and iron was provided in the room which was great, also was plenty of refreshments such as tea and coffee in room.

When my friend went to use the shower it wouldn’t turn off had to get maintenance out twice, afterwards didn’t use it because of issue. Every time we rang reception there was no answer and certain staff members wernt very approachable and were not giving the customer service they should have been providing which let the accommodation down slightly.

Beautiful building with a lot of history, has huge grounds around it, breakfast was nice, some staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome

The place clearly has an air of neglect from being in administration - lack of cleanliness & minimal staff.

Thanks to the chef & waitress for doing a great job - they were magnificent in catering to our large group despite being the only staff available. Great food too & service with a smile. It is because of these staff that I've rated this place higher.

There was a fair bit of water damage due to what looks to be a leaking roof which was a shame but still very clean and furnished nice. Bathroom was a bit dated for the room but still clean and spacious.

Character of the property for the value was perfect with lovely grounds and staff. We stayed in a four poster room which was very spacious.

We were in the little cottages. We were shown out but the door was then locked behind us which we were unaware off not advised how to get back through or to the car eventually found our way in the dark outside but very slippery. No drinking water in the room and not advised of this prior. A very odd stain/something on the wall/window just above the bed. Spiders and cobwebs everywhere and the windows were broken with kitchen tissue stuck in the holes.
