Room was very small and outdated and walls with dampness and wallpaper peeling off . Old fashioned decor and expected it to be a bit more modern considering the price was nearly £200 for one Saturday night for a twin room . Very cheap thin , so called quilts .

As mentioned, the hotel could do with an upgrade, it does look tired. Having said that at the price point there is nothing to complain about. If being picky: some new carpets in the stairways and common areas; a better shower, mounted higher, more sockets in the bedroom and general redecoration and soft furnishings would be welcome. Long walk up to the top floor.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for a weekend break in London. Good breakfast. The hotel itself, had everything you needed, but it is looking a little tired. The room was well equipped, with aircon, a safe, coffee and en-suite shower room.

The door was hollow and had a huge space under the bottom. I could not go to the bathroom in peace. The breakfast said complimentary but I was not allowed to have a second portion. I was hungry.

Rooms weren't very soundproofed. Could hear footsteps from above and doors slamming around the other rooms. Bedroom could do with a bit of modernisation and layout rethink. (Very narrow staircase to the breakfast area)

The staff were lovely from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Breakfast in the morning had good choice. Bedroom had everything we needed. Location was brilliant for going to the theatre, not too far to walk.

Needs a bit of tlc as the room we were staying in the paintwork or plaster was cracked and coming off the walls, doesn’t look very good at all, the remote to the tv was broken so couldn’t use the tv, generally a bit tatty.

I liked the property because it was value for money and the location. Plus it was the third time of staying there.

In need of decoration in the front hall and stairwell. Carpets very worn which made it look a bit grubby.

Myself and my wife are in our late 50s and we were put on the top floor. No lifts and loads of stairs. The water pressure wasn't great and the water wasn't very warm. Hotel a little dated but very comfortable.

Water in room wasn’t drinkable and only a small bottle provided. Reception happy to give more a small thing but I drink a lot of tea and the water provided barely filled the kettle once

No elevator. Our room was up 4 flights of stairs. Because both my friend and I suffer with arthritis we found this a challenge. Lol. Would still highly recommend this hotel.

Very clean in both the bedroom and bathroom. Communal staircase and breakfast room were equally clean.

No full length mirror, lots of stairs, down to reception and restaurant, and up to the room. Very tired decor, bald carpets, curtain hanging off. peeling paint, needed care and attention. The bathroom sink was ridiculously high and the sink so far back in the work surface it was difficult to use. That said nothing major, but would be more appealing with a freshen up.

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked, well served. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and plenty of tea/coffee. Well situated, close to tube etc.

We asked the host for just a sausage sandwich at breakfast and he said 'we don't do that' so he did us a full breakfast (with sausage and toast) and the rest was wasted.
