Room a little noisier this time- prefer the rooms at the back. Black pudding nice but over crispy Breakfast waiter had a rather sullen manner- didn’t seem that happy to be there.

Breakfast was limited. Had fresh fruit, not much choice, would have liked yoghurt with it. Might have been there but not aware of it. No brown/granary bread Bathroom in bedroom difficult to manoeuvre. Had back back and negotiating to get to toilet aggravated it

Fantastic authentic pub in an amazing village. The touch of sloe gin in the room was superb. Staff overly and above helpful.

It was a little bit pricey. First room was cold as radiator was in the cupboard. I checked in again for a 5th night and got a smaller warmer room. I was disappointed one morning as there was no brown bread. Also had to ask for yogurt. Overall lovely food and staff.

I stayed 5 nights. It was really nice, would love to stay again. Thank you Great parking.

The food in the attached restaurant was overpriced and not great. There are other restaurants very nearby though, so not a huge deal.

The property was charming and the special touches like a welcome note, lots of tea and coffee and chocolates, milk in the fridge and lots of towels were nice touches.

Friendly, informative check-in and very comfortable little room. Very high quality tea, coffee and chocolates in the room - and a very unexpected, delicious offering of complementary sloe gin as well as a hand written welcome card! Great toiletries on the bathroom too, and a strong shower with plenty of hot water. I had a delicious dinner in the restaurant, again with very friendly and helpful service, and breakfast was also excellent. Great place to stay!

The room we stayed in had a hobbit door, with my husband being 6ft 3, it wasn't great. Albeit it was me at 5ft 4 that hit my head!! So would recommend phoning or leaving a note if this is an issue for you. Also, for such a small village/town the traffic noise throughout the night was ridiculous, so would recommend ear plugs - we were on the main street though so I suspect other rooms would be quieter.

The staff were amazing and really friendly. The location was perfect for us as we did the Wendover Loop walk. There was ample of parking in their car park. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast offered a decent selection.
