Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

A very cute B&B that is located just outside of Bakewell, absolutely stunning. Country pub just next door. The owners have everything covered, and were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was delicious. Overall a very comfortable stay and we shall definitely return. 100% recommend!

United KingdomIt’s closer to the road than I expected. The windows are very well insulated hence if they are closed you cannot hear the road, but when you open them/ sit on the patio you do hear the traffic. Wifi was a bit temperamental.
Loved the room and as well as the entire property and the shared living room downstairs. Lovely breakfast with great coffee and free soft drinks and cake in the afternoon. Loved the communal breakfast table/experience.

United States of AmericaLovely room with a comfy bed, modern updated bathroom with one of the best hotel showers I have ever had. The room was spacious and decorated so nice! It felt cozy and luxurious. We loved the breakfast. You could tell it was made with love. Bonus that the food was all sourced from local farms in the area. Such an amazing value for a really unique experience. The property manager was kind, helpful, and check-in/ out was so easy! The property was in close proximity to Chatsworth house. Must stay location in the Peak District.

United KingdomNothing really, if anything, some may not like sharing the breakfast table with other guests. It wasn't a problem for us, but there is also the option of having your breakfast brought up to your room if you'd prefer.
Everything! A beautiful, quiet, cosy B&B, friendly hosts, lovely room with extra touches, homemade cakes on arrival, gorgeous cooked breakfast, nice pub for a meal next door with 10% off for staying here. Would definitely stay here again!

United KingdomThe wifi was not very good/didnt reach our room but we didn’t come here to be on our phones anyway! Would’ve just been handy for watching something other than free view tv.
Everything was clean and cosy, the breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice, there were free complementary cakes and drinks. The location was perfect and right next to a pub with delicious food at a discounted rate. We were upgraded for free to a better room. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Everything was great during our stay! The hosts were lovely, the room was comfy and spacious, the garden was brilliant, and the location was very convenient. We brought our dog along and were pleased to find that the hosts provided us with bowls for food and water, as well as blankets for our furry friend. Our room had access to a nearby garden, which was perfect for our dog to roam around in. The breakfast was delicious, especially the sausages, and there was some fantastic cake available all day (the carrot cake was particularly delicious!). Another big plus for us was that we were travelling with an electric car, and the hosts had a charger available for us to use! Last but not least, the Robin Hood pub is located just next door and has amazing dinner food and a great atmosphere. We will be back!

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn’t like about the property. I would mention a very minor point, and this is only my opinion and is in now way a negative. My comments are purely some feedback for an improvement. We were 4 adults + child. With just 1 bathroom/toilet, it would have been ideal if there was 1 more toilet somewhere. But I strongly stress this is a very minor detail. Everything was excellent.
Very Clean and comfortable, ideal for a short stay to enjoy walking the surrounding area.

United KingdomThe only thing for us was the bed was a little high but that’s just personal preference (and not a big thing at all!) but it was king size so it was good space!
Our room was very good size with a perfect enclosed space for our dog to go outside. The room was modern and comfortable with lots of facilities - lovely bathroom and a shower that felt like a spa! A real highlight was being able to have breakfast bought to our room (we have a needy dog!) - it was delicious and we selected what we’d like the night before! There were also a selection of drinks and homemade cakes available for guests which was another lovely touch! Location wise it’s very close to Bakewell and walking routes with a handy pub just a minutes walk away. We would love to stay again when we get the chance!
