Rowan House was immaculately clean and finished to a really beautiful standard. Scotty and Anna made us feel so welcome - the food was absolutely fantastic - genuinely couldn’t recommend it enough. A perfect bolt-hole, we will definitely be back.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and gave us some great tips for the local area on where to eat and explore. The breakfast was amazing and really flexible with lots of options. They were also happy to cater for gluten free options. The views from the bedroom window and breakfast table are also absolutely stunning. You couldn’t ask for more stunning scenery. We would definitely come and stay again.

We were welcomed warmly by the B&B owner (even though we were hours later than we expected). Our room was so cozy and equipped with everything we needed. There were resources for activities to do around the area (and Anna was very knowledgeable as well). Our personalized breakfast was delicious too!

Scotty and his wife could not have been more friendly and lovely. We were offered tea and coffee when we arrived and they were very know about the area. The house was immaculate, our bedroom was beautiful with lots of information in there.

Scotty and Anna are welcoming and attentive hosts. Off-road private parking. Room was impeccable, small fridge with milk etc. Views to die for. A short stay, but we'll be back.

Rowan House was a lovely place to stay. Anna and Scotty were so welcoming. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was lovely and you can sit taking in the scenery, whilst enjoying your food. The location was great, it is a stone throw from Loch Goil which was perfect for swimming.

Beautiful location and lovely B&B. The hosts were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble & they really took care of us during our stay. I have to eat dairy free and they had vegan options for breakfast including the bread, butter and milk which was lovely. Would love to stay again!

Road to Carrick Castle needs care in dark, poor conditions.

Amazing views over Loch Goil. Great walks, wildlife and wonderful views and waterfalls in nearby Cormonachan Woods. Very well appointed self-catering accommodation.

Absolutely stunning location on the side of loch Goil. With a private entrance to pop in for a weee swim. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely.

We had such a wonderful stay at Rowan House. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and easy to contact. We had the most wonderful time using the sea kayaks to paddle up the loch where we saw seals. The apartment was clean, well equipped and free parking. We couldn't have had a better stay!

Some more facilities to prepare food in the evening would have been handy given the remote location but we were given use of a microwave which was enough for us to avoid going hungry.

Delicious breakfast catering for our vegan diet, beautiful lochside views and a comfortable room were just the start. The friendliness of the hosts was second to none. Scott even lent a tie to the best man at the wedding we were attending! Truly deserving of the 5-star rating.
