It’s a shame the pub isn’t open on Tuesdays so haven’t been able to experience the food and drink. I’m not sure this is made evident until you have booked.

I arrived on a day where the pub was not open so I had some difficulty with checking in. The hosts had provided a telephone number that was only linked to the pub which made getting in contact impossible and I had to phone the booking.com customer helpline to help me. Luckily it was sorted fairly quickly and the host was really lovely. The property had sent some emails to me prior to my visit about check in, but they had been sent to my spam which was why there was a check-in mix up. I recommend keeping an eye out for any emails from the property and ensuring you have a solid check-in plan ahead of time. It would be good if there could be an out of hours telephone number that could be called to avoid having to contact booking.com as an intermediary. Also, the heating and hot water do work, but they take a little time to kick in, so I recommend any future guests just remain patient while they get going. I also had a curtain blind that would not fully cover the window, but that is likely my own confusion as I arrived back at the property fairly late.

The location worked for me very well and the host was absolutely fantastic. The facilities were incredibly clean and had all the basics. I only stayed for one evening, but it did the job nicely. I did not get to experience the breakfast or dinner on offer due to the date I was staying, but that looked pretty promising as well.

The room could do with refurbishing! I had to use two hands to turn off the basin tap! All the bathroom appliances could do with replacing and the shower could be larger. But Value for money it was very good. TV reception terrible. I used it as a radio.

The breakfast supplied in the cool box was generous and with a good choice of items. the croissants were a bit disappointing but I expect that is how they are when prepacked!

The breakfast hamper had very basic cereals. It would have been nice to have been offered something a bit more substantial like granola or museli. There was quite a bit of confusion over the bill for accommodation and food. I would have preferred to have paid for these separately, though this was resolved quickly and amicably.

- The room was clean, comfortable and quiet even though we were next to the pub. It felt like a private space created by the trees and shrubs as we faced (as all the apartments seem too). - The food in the pub was reasonably priced and really high quality. - The owners were very accomodating of our needs (we brought mountain bikes).

Room was quite tired. Touched up but unpainted plaster. Bathroom suite was old and tired. Shower was quite dribbly. But we really were quite satisfied for what we needed and paid for. I suspect, it’s perhaps a work in progress. A freshen up would work, a new bathroom suite would mean it’s sorted.

Very reasonable price. Nice touches (tea, biscuits toiletries etc). Good to. BIG fluffy towels. Excellent food. Nice pub.

I was staying at a pub and had been looking forward to a meal and a drink in the evening. I was informed in the morning that the pub was shut so I had to organise my own meal in the evening.

The premises didn't open until 18:00 but if I had read the messages sent to me from the proprietor more thoroughly I would have known this and possibly accessed my room much earlier - Not really a dislike just a comment. WiFi in the room was very weak

Had I bothered to read the text message from the proprietor I would have accessed my room earlier! The room itself was extremely pleasant, very private. Host extremely friendly and attentive. Ate at the hotel and had a very pleasant burger.
