Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Night porter didn't know the vending machine wasn't taking money and not helpful at all in resolving apart from that all other staff very helpful

Room 356 Bed was very hard,floor slanted,hardly any plugs could do with extension leads,fair bit of condensation on windows,could do with two chairs in the room instead of one in the window,being told it's £8 to park in the carpark even though I've paid to stay there,hot water in shower very slow.found a parking space on roadside as its free for me as I have a blue badge.no disabled parking bays in hotel carpark. Hotel offers breakfast but more expensive than the Premier Inn offer. I'm not sure if they had a gluten free menu(I'm gluten free) prices were not advertised.
Room 356 Large clean Seaview room bright and warm ,Clean bathroom, lift service,nice comfy carpets,excellent staff,nice to be able to bring my dog (extra £10)

The rooms were not serviced during our stay so the bin became full and the milk ran out. We were able to get more milk but the whole idea about staying in an hotel is to have the beds made up daily.

Every was great apart from we had not running hot water at all,turned the sink tap on and the water was brown,let it run for a while and then it just stopped,I did tell receptionist about this,but it was sorted so wasn't able to have a shower for 2days of our stay,was having to boil kettle to get a wash in sink,apart from that everything was great,for the money we payed,I was very disappointed the fact we couldn't shower,and I told them from the very first day,I honestly think we should be refunded some money for this,the hotel is absolutely lovely and I would definitely stay there again,if this is looked at and into x

No hot water light switch not working on entering room telly remote didn't work was told they would replace batteries to see if that would solve the issue didn't do it got to have a shower in another room on a different floor was ok but not really acceptable very disappointed could have let us off with car parking charges for inconvenience for everything what wasn't working but didn't not happy

No hot running water for the whole of our stay also a problem with the draft beers on the bar which only gave more expensive bottles as an alternative

The double bed was two single beds pushed together very uncomfortable. The shower was hit and miss. Only had one towel and two people in the room, asked for more, was told they would replace when they cleaned the room. Guess what never cleaned the room and no towel (good job we take our own) to top it off you had to pay for WiFi.

It was a bit dated in the hallways and lift was like a Victorian style one. I have to mention too that the windows and mirrors in the dining room had not been cleaned for some time

I found the reception staff very rude ! I had called to book the car in for the car park . when I arrived I got called a liar off the lady on the reception. The Hotel has a bad smell as well when you walk in .

Windows only opened a fraction. In summer it would be too hot.

Nothing really, it’s price was fair for its facilities.
Location. staff, good value for money. Close to good Chinese, Indian & Italian restaurants. Good to good pub grub at The Albert.

Breakfast on Thurs and Fri. Staff were friendly. The location is great. This isn't a fancy hotel, you get what you pay for and i was happy with that.
The hotel is very dated. Uneven floor boards. Carpets could do with a good clean and not just a hoover. Breakfast tasted different and weird at weekend, compared to the Thurs and Friday.
