Even tho it makes it brilliant value for money. It wasn't stated that our room had 2 doubles and a single. The layout was weird The 2 options for vegetarian food wasn't appealing but I had to go with one. The flavour wasn't nice and I ended up leaving allot of it. We ended up taking ourselfs downstairs because we was walked passed a few times. And drinks had already been forgotten The breakfast was very rushed and there was a few people staying that were extremely rude to staff. Which obviously is a reflection on the customer and not staff. But the staff didn't seem to have a back bone with it all

The room was exceptionally clean the shower was amazing. The food was ok The staff in the evening was absolutely lovely the food service staff seemed to forget there was people upstairs Breakfast is included

The charge for a pet per night would have bumped the cost up, if I had stayed more than the one night.

The breakfast was fine and my evening meal was good. Location was great for what I wanted to do in the short time I stayed.

Very good breakfast (included), traditionally served at the table. Good pub food available in the evening. Nicely situated on the village green and convenient for exploring Lynford Arboretum and the Desert Rats Museum.

The stairs are short and steep, which you might expect with a very old property. We managed them with a little effort. It's not that we didn't like them, it's part of the old world charm. Just something to be aware of.

Nice location, easy to find, parking easy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Quirky, old building which was interesting. Nice big room.

My burger wasn't cooked in the middle and the coleslaw was covered I mustard seeds which I hate.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and it was nice being near the pub but separate. The staff were friendly and helpful especially ially at breakfast, which was a much better meal than dinner.

Probably been better to use liquid soap dispenser in bathroom as using soap for say one night and possibly having to throw it away after is not very environmentally friendly. We wrapped ours up and brought it home . Also door was a bit stiff and had to bang it to close it . Not good when it’s late at night . Room probably do with redec ie new carpet and repaint.

One of the 2 windows in the bedroom (Room B) did not open. Shower room lacks extractor fan (can get a bit steamy). BBC channels not available on the TV. Windy stairs to bedroom would be awkward for less agile guests.

An old property (1650) with lots of character, but rooms comfortable and well equipped. Decent food offerings in the bar, and plenty of outdoor seating in quiet garden. Staff very friendly. Indoor lockable storage for bicycles.

The rooms were a bit outdated and in need of some tlc. The parking is on gravel so if your room is near the parking it's quite noisy The rooms were extremely warm, not necessarily the hotels fault as we stayed during September's heatwave but there were no fans or anything in the room even though we were advised there would be. Communication was pretty poor. A couple of messages were sent on booking.com that weren't responded to so we had to call up.

It was conveniently located to the wedding venue we were attending. Plenty of parking. Allowed us to check in early so we could get ready for the wedding after a 2.5 hour drive. Breakfast was Included with our rate which was a full English. It was buffet style but eggs made to order but you couldn't serve yourself which seemed a bit pointless

I had a downstairs room however there were no curtains, just blinds that did not close properly. From outside you could see inside the room which was a little uncomfortable considering there were a group of lads outside while I was getting ready for bed
