Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWater pressure is a little low for the shower but manageable. Kitchen tap needs tightening.
A lovely space for a short stay in a cleverly converted building to maximise what it can offer.

United KingdomThink it was great for two singles but is marketed for two couples and that would be cramped - only one chair and a small sofa, one small table at which to eat - with 2 chairs, and there was no clothes storage in the mezzanine bedroom. Was noisy in the downstairs bedroom as the boiler in there was on and off all night, and would have like a mirror in there. We think it should have a name or number on the property - we had to ask someone in the end as we couldn't identify it though we'd driven past a couple of times! Bit on view to passers by as table is under a large window directly on street - though we didn't mind waving to them!
Location was great for walkers as we are - very easy to access the Clwydian Range. The village has a very fully equipped community shop, and a pub serving food, and folk are very friendly and helpful. Shower was great and the underfloor heating warmed the whole house (except the ground floor bedroom - bit chilly) even though it was only under the kitchen and bathroom. Wood burner was fab - chucked out so much heat, and the starter pack lasted us 3 evenings.

United KingdomWe really enjoyed our stay and would happily book again as is. But the hosts really need to get their carpenter back as several doors "rub" on frames or the floor. The entry door was quite new but was very difficult to open and close. The kitchen was lovely but again needs fine adjustment. The fridge door wouldn't close properly because of the way the fitted doors rub together. Nothing that a decent carpenter wouldn't fix in a day.
We loved the accommodation as a whole. The conversion from a post office has been done exceptionally well, and clearly with love, care and style. As a bonus the adjacent pub was wonderful. Everyone was welcoming and friendly (locals as well as the staff) and they served fantastic food at reasonable prices. For anyone with a dog the pub is properly dog friendly (not just tolerant). We visited three times and each time they served our dog a bowl of water before even asking what the humans would like. What an asset just 50 metres or so along the road.

United KingdomJust a couple of small things but we would have liked a microwave and also the tap needs sorting as it's very loose. On the whole all very nice though.
The layout & location were lovely. It was great for our dog to have a safe space outside. It was a lovely & quirky house. The logburner would of been great in the colder months. The dishwasher was good & a good size fridge . The rooms were all good sizes. On the whole the kitchen facilities were good too. It was a lovely base to go out on days out & also go for walks with the dog.

United KingdomNot much worktop space. Could do with a bowl in the sink, and the taps are loose, need a little adjustment. Not really suitable for people with very young children because of the stairs but ideal for couples. Just right for us and all those people who wrote in the visitors book!
The property and the location were wonderful. We felt really relaxed and at home in Cwtch, loved the decor and the layout (very good interior, especially liked the downstairs bedroom). My daughter was young enough to be able to access the mezzanine bedroom, dog loved having the space indoors and the grassy area outdoors. The cool floors were most welcome to our Labrador during the very hot weather. The interior was light and airy, we just loved it!

United KingdomNeed blinds in the top window. One of the bedrooms is first floor and the street light from outside shines directly in. Beds are soft but that's a personal preference. We had a great time though and would book again. Lovely community and was made very welcome xxx

United KingdomThe only thing that could have made it a 10 review would be to have blinds at all windows (4am wake-up on the first night not ideal - some DIY window coverage helped) Also somewhere to hang coats. Sadly we didn't meet the hosts who may have been away - but were at the end of the phone if needed. These are picky things but would make a difference. We loved it.
The Cwytch and it's location were great - beautiful little place snuggled in a delightful village with amazing walks on the doorstep. Great community shop in the Village Hall - everything you needed there including papers.
