Being rushed out of the dining room at 9.40am while having breakfast because the cleaners were needing to get in there to clean. Bizarre. They need to spend more time making the bedrooms presentable.

    Spacious room. Good breakfast.

Shower could have been hotter. No cereals offered at breakfast despite being on the menu. No jams or marmalade with toast

Able to take our dog throughout the property. Good food. Easy parking

A little more central heating would have been appreciated, as it was quite cool in the bedroom. Windows rattled almost all night, but we appreciate that it was very windy and on speaking to a member of staff, she was prompt in putting two wedges to stop the windows rattling.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly, prompt service. Huge bedroom - bed very comfortable.

The hot water was a little finicky but the employee quickly fixed this when the room beside us addressed this issue.

The main employee was amazing. He checked us in brought us up all while also working the bar. Very kind and helpful gentleman

A chair in the rooms might have been a slight improvement for sitting or for putting clothes on at night. One room did not seem to receive such hot water but it may have been because it needed to be run for a while before using. It might be fair to state that parking was across the road in one of two carparks one paying a modest sum & one with an honesty box.

The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice & good quantities of food. The staff members serving us were ace & we could ask for more coffee & eg toast. The coffee quality suited two of us but not the other two as it was strong & a bit bitter.

A 'Breakfast bag' (a single size pot of porridge, 2 squashed croissants, 2 portions of jam and 1 bottle of orange juice for two of us, not each!) was provided rather than a proper, hot breakfast as expected when booked. It appeared to be a breakfast for one, which was disappointing.

Comfy bed, clean, functional bathroom. Evening meal was tasty and good value for the price charged.

The accomodation was dated....definitely in need of a bit of TLC. Windows and areas in the room were dusty and a bit grubby but bedding and towels etc were lovely and clean. Bed comfy and we slept well.

Loved the atmosphere, staff and locals really friendly. We took our dog and he was made very welcome. Lovely old pub....food was good value and very busy so I would recommend booking rather than just rocking up.

A little noisy during pub open hours but as expected. The entrance door is stiff to close so gets slammed.

Good sized room with very comfortable bed and good shower. Quick checkin and easy checkout. Great breakfast and friendly pub staff. Free parking in car park. Welcomes dogs.

The heaters and towel rack come on at their own will, no matter what setting, even if they're off. I think they're on a timer. Definitely not the end of the world but maybe something to look at changing in the future. The windows do bang a bit in the wind. Again, not a big deal. Maybe just stick some foam buffers on to lessen the noise a little.

Breakfast included every morning, although not stated on when booking. It was a nice surprise and a very nice breakfast! Comfy rooms, bed was great. Beautiful homely pub. Friendly staff. Been many times over the years and I hope to stay again.
