I have a wool allergy and it was impossible to escape the wool. Even the curtains in our room were made of wool.

Loved the location! Lots to do within walking distance. Staff was very friendly, helpful and full of fun.

Expensive room, very limited parking. Tv not working. Room adjacent to the road so some car and pedestrian noise. Restaurant had limited menu - all seafood. Sign saying “take away food prohibited in rooms”

Large, spacious room, clean, warm and comfortable bed. Large bathroom with great shower. Prime location in town, minutes walk to everywhere, nice views. Great breakfast.

A lift would have been great, my room was on the top floor and i suffer arthritis in one of my knees so climbing the stairs was a challenge

Breakfast could have been a bit more selective on the menu but if you didnt want what was on the menu, the staff would cater for you and give you what you fancied

It was very quiet, off season as I understand it, I thought it was quite expensive and expected it to be better than it was. Veiw was great but window was very small.

The veiw was fantastic, the reception staff were helpful on arrival and there was offers to help with our bags as no lift, we got in the car park, as it wasn't busy. Bed was comfy, breakfast was good, tattie cakes are lovely.

The evening restaurant could be better, options are a little lacking and some of the provisions could be better executed, the fish and chips were ok but the peas weren’t good, the steak pie looked very unappealing . The atmosphere at dinner could be better and a little less funeral wake like. Rooms were overpriced for what they were, we paid £200 a night and it definitely wasn’t worth that. Car parking provision isn’t great, especially considering a) it’s £200 a night and b) the only real way to get there is by car. Also, our room was right above McNabs and music often came through the floor, not quite what you’d expect for £200 a night.

The porridge was excellent. The housekeeping staff were amazing. The desk staff were mostly lovely. The breakfast restaurant staff were lovely. Beds were pretty comfy and the bathroom was lovely. The room we had had been recently revamped and it showed well.

The majority of the customer facing staff were not particularly friendly. There was one female member of staff who did smile and chat but the others gave the impression that customers were a bit of a nuisance. The cleaners were great.

The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed. The en-suite was clean and serviced daily. Food at breakfast and in the restaurant was very good.
