You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

The hotel has a perfect location in Portree and walking distance to the restaurants in the harbour. The staff were really kind and very helpful offering printing the tickets to the ferry in Armadale

United States of AmericaRooms a bit run down. Clean enough. Shower wasn’t working great (pressure / kept fluctuating in temperature). Had staff/cleaners knocking on my door very early to clean… and even hanging outside my room and talking as early as 7:30am - assuming waiting for me to leave (even though I was still booked for another night).
Amazing breakfast. Friendly staff. Amazing location. Great views of the harbour. Restaurant was great - food and service. Bartender in the bar was great.

AustraliaThe bathroom was not very clean and the shower was pretty feeble didn’t work properly. We asked for a better room considering we booked so far in advance but they couldn’t help us as they were fully booked. it wasn’t as described so either they have better rooms and gave us an one or the photos are old. Breakfast was not great either. I think it was a beautiful hotel just needs some refreshing.

United States of AmericaThe receptionist that checked is in was not very nice. With the exception of this one employee, the staff was very friendly. Hotel has a rule that you can’t bring take away meals to your room for the comfort of other guests. I feel it was for the comfort of their pockets so you ate in their experience restaurant. We enjoyed our take away. Hotel has over 50 rooms and only 8 parking spaces on a first come basis. Parking is £2 an hour.
the waitress in the dinning room that had been working for the Royal Hotel for 30 years was exceptional! she made our stay very comfortable.

AustraliaThey have a no take aways in rooms sign which is a bit out of order. Fair enough you don’t want your room smelling like a fish supper but there’s ways to easy remove any food odours between guests. If you’ve paid for a room you are entitled to do and eat what you want in it. I reckon if you asked for food from their restaurant to go up to the room they wouldn’t mind.. I paid no notice of it anyway and had a delicious sausage dinner from the chippy over the road.
Nice hotel, good location. Parking is an absolute pain. We parked in the bank car park over the road after it closed.

United KingdomThe room was like an oven but I think that was owing to the layout of the hotel as there was no way to circulate air to cool the room down. We eventually had to wedge the door open during the night and open a window in the corridor as the heat was unbearable. Also it was practically impossible to control the temperature in the shower and the water pressure kept dropping to a trickle.
Friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast. Ideal location for an overnight stay if you were passing through but I wouldn’t recommend for more than one night.

Nice room with a lovely view. All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent apart from one day when the Full Scottish was rather dried up and dinner was very nice but a little expensive. Drinks in the bar were very expensive so went elsewhere after one drink.
