The continental breakfast I had didn't taste super fresh. The gym changing rooms need some tlc.

The hotel far exceeded what I would expect for the price. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff went above and beyond at all times. The sauna and hot tub were lovely. I had an evening meal cooked by the Sri Lankan chef, so naturally I went for a Sri Lankan mutton curry and it was sensational! Really pleased all round.

Sheets were dirty, and stained walls had stained with liquid of sorts window looking out to smoking are were people can see you in your room. No privacy with curtains open.room also very hot and very dated bathroom was also dirty with dust and stained.also at the bar drinks were tasting like they had not cleaned the pipes and as well as the coffee had tasting of old coffee.

Area was very peaceful and nice but very secluded not alot todo apart from another pub across from hotel.

Everything else! Rooms are completely different to what was advertised! Complete false advertising! Unhelpful staff! When I complained about the awful standard of the prison like rooms they did not care to help! “Spa” was dangerous and dirty! Poor quality breakfast!

Only thing I can say needs improving is the bathroom, sorry Shurland but the bathroom was very outdated and the shower wasn't very good. Bargain price though.

Rooms are tired and not very clean, no shower, and the smallest bath iv ever seen , curtains did not shut properly I was the only person in the dining room, but still my starter took over an hour to arrive, and the main around 30 mins after. The food was reasonable in price but not very nice and a strange fusion of I don't know what , but just stop messing about with steak I ordered steak / not steak with a strange lasagne on top and nish mash of sloppy peppers and dried mash and traditional veg. I got down early for breakfast , staff just grunted and walked passed , me with out acknowledging me , and then proceed to serve 12 people who came in after me , the coffee was cold and I'm pretty sure was the same pot and level I sore on the side the evening before . Once I had my breakfast a very smily person appeared asking me how I would like to pay, I advised I had breakfast included . Nobody questioned this when I asked what time breakfast was served and if I could come down early with two members of staff the night before . The gentleman proceded to argue with me and eventually charged me as I was in a rush and needed to leave . They then preceded to take 15 minutes before they decided they didn't know how to do a VAT receipt . On check out, the desk was un manned , and eventually, someone arrived who couldn't do receipts either. They took my email adress to send the invoice to me, which was never received . Terrible service , terrible food , substandard hotel , I wouldn't bother.

Bottom sheet was very thin, you could see the stripy mattress through it. I would prefer to sleep on a mattress with a washable mattress protector or at least a thicker sheet

Room was old-fashioned and needs a good renovation. The shower well I decided it would be cleaner not get get in because it was disgusting.

I did not like the staff went in the room in the evening when we was out with family and we had no notice until I complained. The sink had a huge crack and there was no bathroom lock, and we only got 1 towel for 2 guests even when requested another we did not receive this. Also a member of staff was following me around the property and me and my girlfriend felt unsafe and insecure especially following what happened in the room. Also we had a leek in the shower.

The bed was comfortable and was a perfect location.

I was meant to be able to pay at the property when checking in,however, payment was taken before arrival. There was no forward warning of the roadworks outside of the hotel,which resulted in a 5 mile round trip to get to the car park. When it comes to food, the website shows a great variety of choice in the menu with lovely pictures on Google. However, we were given a laminated menu highlighted burger and chips at £6.50 I asked what else is available, fish and chips or pasta as its under new management, and we are just trialing a new menu. Drinks were ordered two cokes, once delivered no taste, 2 cans of coke priced at £1 each were supplemented which were warm ( later charged at £1.70 each) the food was by in large awfull, however faced with no alternative had to persevere. My lad gave up with his burger half way through, also I had to ask politely if we could pay once we had actually finished the meal, as we literally had a card reader shoved in my face whilst still eating. I then realised the the so called fish and chips were priced at £10.50 !! Complaining to the manager, he welcomed the feedback 🙄 but only offered a free cooked breakfast. However, after pointing out that the booking came with breakfast,oh no, just a continental, we declined the offer of a cooked breakfast based on the quality of what we had just endured. So the initial booking was misleading as it did not mention the breakfast is continental,also pointing out the misleading photos of the menue and evening meals, I was told oh those are old images from 6 years ago. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Going to the room the t.v did not work, went back downstairs the manager looked at us as if we were telling lies,after 10 minutes he came down and said it was working and there was no problem with it. It must have been a loose wire. We proceeded to watch the t.v and then realised how uncomfortable the beds are. Basically, the springs have worn out in the mattresses. We then had to turn the volume up to hear the t.

Loved the fact we were on the Isle of Sheppey as we came for the birdwatching. The lady behind the counter was nice.
