Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHad to go up a staircase then 2 corridors and another staircase and another corridor to get to my room and I was left to find it myself. Parts of the building were not very clean ie stairs and windows. My room was at the rear and they started banging and crashing out there about 5am and woke me up
Lovely location and beautiful building

United KingdomLittle things like empty shampoo bottles that were fixed to the wall had been left. Bizarre shower curtain on other side of bath but just meant once wet, would actually stick to you. I get its there for privacy as the window in the bathroom looked onto more of the property
The bed was super comfortable, rather luckily had the whole thing to myself. The breakfast was rather tasty

United KingdomI had a large room with a wide double bed, which was very comfortable. There was no noise from other guests even though my room was above the bar area. The breakfast was self service and was very good. I would stay at the hotel again in the future.

United KingdomNo specific complaints - have given a boosted score taking into account low rate paid. I know my colleague paid much more.
Good basics, though in my particular case I got the somewhat tired and rather strange accessible bathroom. Lovely surroundings, helpful staff, plenty of parking, plus a charming garden area I really thought was nice. Restaurant looked really cosy though I did not use it myself. Wifi is ok too.

United KingdomThings I was not happy with: - couldn’t lock the room door (lock refused to turn) but there was a chain on the door which I used - I would have loved to see more wall sockets (this is a problem in most hotels though!) - I paid for breakfast at check in but this wasn’t updated in the system so I had to explain to the restaurant staff on two occasions that I have paid (the staff were very pleasant though, so no complaints!) I am sure these issues could have been rectified if I mentioned them to the reception, but I didn’t feel there was a need for that.
We had a lovely stay at The Casa hotel. The bed was a great size and we slept very well. The staff were friendly. The room was a very good size. The hotel was in a great location for us, we went to Legoland and it was only 30mins drive to the hotel. The town itself is nice as well and is a short walk away (15min walk through the woods behind the hotel). We also had breakfast which was good - the choice of breakfast was cooked breakfast (full English), toast, jam, yoghurt, choice of cereal, tea, coffee and juice. Our room was serviced every day which was a lovely touch (this isn’t always done in smaller hotels!)

United Kingdom- The communication/emails after booking was too much. - With a toddler, they placed us in what seemed like the basement with three flights of stairs and 3/4 corridors. The receptionist said "it's just straight ahead"... And unfortunately another customer decided to stand by the fire exit and smoke repeatedly. We couldn't avoid this and although not entirely the hotel's fault, maybe alarm the doors. - The room door did not lock securely. - The kettle was disgusting, they took it and "cleaned" it and it was rusty. Coffee is important to a single parent!
The location was good for the purpose of our stay.

United KingdomThe path leading up to the carpark had no lighting, and the ground was uneven. There was an accident the night I stayed, someone fell while walking to the carpark, this might not have happened had there been adequate lighting.
The room was nice, a little concerned that the table for the kettle was wobbly.

United KingdomThis was the upgraded ‘Executive room’ So it had air con (Not working) and 1 small window that just opened a slither. Too hot to sleep properly even with fan on. Seating area was a chair stuck under a ceiling eve. Cracked tile in bathroom floor and awful toilet oaper., Only 1 bedside light and no light over desk/tea coffee area - only 4 milk and no biscuits! Not an executive room by any stretch. We won’t be back.
Late manned reception. Room was small but clean with a comfortable bed, Nice toiletries, good shower and cheap.

United KingdomDidn’t inform us of wedding that had extremely Loud music till 12 at night. No soap in any of the dispensers and the beds were rock hard with terrible pillows. Cupboard fell apart when we tried to open it. And the key card holder fell off when inserting.
Bar staff were very funny and friendly. Free parking was nice.
