Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMore modern furniture, and a little bit fresher.
Breakfast was good with choices of cereal, toast, croissants, cooked breakfast. Our room was comfortable, but outdated, smelt musty, bath panel hanging off, shower dripping constantly, and wasn’t sound proof from the room upstairs who were noisy up until about 0330 in the morning (very embarrassing!). We didn’t stay in for dinner, so can’t comment. Parking was a little bit hit and miss too. Car park a bit small for the size of hotel, especially on Pudding Club weekends.

United KingdomThin walls and floors- We were on ground floor so every step above our head was heard and creaked in the middle of the night. When we told front desk at check out they didn't even blink let alone show empathy. Also, small thing but asked for an extra blanket and one never came. As far as location there is not much to walk to in town. Which can be a good thing if looking for p&q. Kings Inn was fabulous for dinner and Hidcote Garden is very close.
Location is certainly quiet, one of the smaller villages off the beaten path. The front garden is nice to sit in and nice to have a private patio entrance.

United KingdomSmall room for cost. Room needed redecoration, paint peeling off furniture and damaged bath panel. Didn’t realise our room rate didn’t include breakfast, which was expensive at 1595 pp.
Location and character. Food was always a high standard but always in an empty restaurant which felt odd with no atmosphere.

United KingdomThe location was very good for us as we were visiting for a family birthday. We had phoned ahead and requested an early check in and told that it would be ok with an additional charge unfortunately when we arrived there was no record of the call and the room was not ready. The receptionist was very good and was able to get a room for within the hour and said that there would be no extra charge, unfortunately the next morning we were asked to pay an extra charge as again no record of the conversation on check in 🤦♀️. In the end we didn’t have to pay but it did show a lack of communication between staff. The breakfast was excellent and the staff who served us very friendly.

United KingdomMy husband fell out of the shower as it was over the bath and didn’t have a hand rail . The bath was slippy and very narrow. Luckily , he was only shocked with no major injury , just a cut on his hand . I always think handrails are a must with this type of shower. The breakfast was 15 pounds and 95 pence each . When we booked the week before, it had said 15 pounds. The dinner menu wasn’t to our taste so we ate at a pub down the road.
The room was very big and the bed , extremely comfortable with lots of pillows . The room had a little lounge area with a large television.

United KingdomThe superior double room was dated and the bed very firm not to our liking. The hotel is under new owners and have been informed they are working through the hotel rooms, would be a first rate hotel if it’s done to a high standard.
Restaurant food was excellent and breakfast was also very good quality, couldn’t fault the food highly recommend.
