The breakfast was all that I could ask for. I had the English breakfast which was excellent. I liked that they had an very good coffee machine for coffee on the go. The location was excellent being a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. The owners were very friendly and made you feel welcome. The onsite parking is a bonus.

The whole experience related to the accommodation was pleasant and everything was as expected. The room was spacious and it had a lovely corner couch on the window, which kept the wife very happy (bonus points for this), the breakfast was delicious and it had free parking. The host gave us a map and indication as what we should see and where the landmarks are located. One impressive thing is that, although the hotel is located next to the hospital, we did not hear any noise in the room during the night.

We stayed at The Tower for a couple of nights in the middle of May. Excellent location on the city outskirts which meant no trouble finding, parking and avoiding any congestion. a 15/20 minute walk in although we also used the very handy #6 bus service. We stayed in Room 1 which was superbly appointed. Comfortable bed, quite, clean and very handy for using the coffee machine in the breakfast room. Breakfast was excellent - ordered via the hotel app which also usefully controlled heating and air con. Would certainly recommend and will definitely return. We've stayed in several place sin York over the years and this has been the best!

Breakfast was exceptional well presented and delicious. The room was large comfortable and beautifully furnished as was the en suite. Very very cleam everywhere. Location was a steady 20 min walk into the centre which was great. Tony was the perfect host. We've stayed in a lot of hotels in York and this one exceeded every other one we have been in. Staying there was an absolute pleasure thank you 😊

The room was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was very easy to check in/out and order breakfast with their app. The accommodation is within 30 minutes steady stroll into York attractions, overall an excellent stay. We will be visiting again 🙂

Not centrally located in York. That wouldn’t have normally been an issue with us however weather was quite rainy and walking into town got us drenched a few times. Not the owner’s fault; just our bad choice of dates with respect to weather.

Bed was a too soft for me. That in many ways is a personal preference and should not detract from this experience.

A well made and tasty breakfast on offer. The bath in our room was a special addition and great to relax in after a long day exploring the beautiful York. The use of technology in the form of an app on your phone was very impressive and this enabled you to control your preferences without having to find staff to answer questions etc.

The Guest house as a whole was clean, very pleasant and gave quite a luxurious feel. Our room was wonderful, very clean and felt perfect. The owners and staff had a very personal approach- shows they care! There is an app for the guest house, that made navigating our stay just perfect! Could be singing praise for weeks!

We like everything about York, it is one of our favourite places to visit so would highly recommend. Every time I stay at York, I always stay at Tower Guest House, so highly recommend. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfasts are superb. Great value for money.

Nothing that I could remember, if I was to say anything it would be in the shower , slight mold around the bottom.Only 1 KitKat for two people.

Location was great, easy 10 minutes walk into centre. Breakfast was delicious, good quality ingredients,fresh fruit , overall a great breakfast. There was a coffee machine which you coul help yourself at ant time , plus plenty of tea/coffee in room. The owners were extremely welcoming , friendly and offered lots of information about York .
