Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

both hosts did everything to keep the whole group happy breakfast was excellent nothing was to much trouble and we were given loads of information from where to park at a cheap rate and directions to where we needed to go

Everything from the moment we arrived until we left was perfect! I have stayed in Blackpool many times over the years and overall don't have the highest expectations when booking a last-minute weekend break but staying at the Westfield exceeded them all. From the thoughtful little extras in the room and bathroom to the fantastic breakfast we received in the morning, we could see how much thought and care had gone into making sure we had a wonderful stay. We have already booked to return and can't see ourselves staying anywhere else from now on.

Location was great, nice and quiet and only a 10 minute walk or so to the North Pier, breakfast was amazing, local products and great quality, filled us up for the day.

The property was absolutely spotlessly clean. The owners were really friendly and welcoming and made us feel at home from the minute that we got there. Good location close to all the major attractions and topped off by an amazingly cooked breakfast. Not only would I recommend Westfield House I will be booking again next time I’m in the area.

John and Nick made our stay very enjoyable. Lovely hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The room was smaller than your average room but was ample and had very good facilities. The bed was very comfy and what joy! A plug near a mirror.....every girls dream!! The room was clean and overall was cosy and perfect for our stay. Not far from Tower, beach and shops. Breakfast was superb! Loved the art deco feel to the breakfast room. Thank you! We will be back! You are both amazing! xx

This is one of the best places we have stayed. The location was perfect, quiet yet close to the town. The room was lovely. Really well decorated and perfect for our stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Good choice, excellent service and everything was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the hotel bar. John and Nick are just wonderful, so friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend Westfield House and we will definitely be staying again.

There was nothing we didn't like.
We liked the fact that it was very clean and the little touches. Sticker on the folded toilet roll, toilet sticker stating sanitised, biscuits, tea, coffee, bottled water. The owners Nick and John were very attentive, friendly and made you feel right at home. Lovely people.

Everything!! This was a return visit based on a previous great experience. The hosts go above and beyond to give their guests a wonderful stay, even accommodating our son and his partner for breakfast when their accommodation in a different property wasn't up to par!!
