I only complaint we has was I tv's on the accommodation did not work properly- they wouldn't hold a channel- we could only watch 1 news channel

Space for breakfast buffet is a bit limited but food was good.

Lovely quiet location in countryside. Comfortable clean room. Friendly helpful staff. Dinner was very good in cosy dining area. Appreciated the log fire. Second visit and we will definitely be back. Although it’s a wedding venue it doesn’t impact on other guests.

The situation was perfect - really beautiful and peaceful. We booked last minute and had no idea what to expect and were pleasantly surprised.in the country style it was super cosy with a roaring fire when we got there and a lovely ambiance .

The floor in the bedroom and bathroom could have been cleaner, but I am very fussy!,

The food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic, would highly recommend this place. We met with friends who live an hour north west of this place and we live an hour south so great half way meet. This was our first visit but we will definitely be doing it again.

We ate at the property in the evening and the young bar staff were very friendly and attentive. Room had tea and coffee making facililities. Shower was absolutely fantastic.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, with additional option of cereals, yogurts and toast. Plenty of tables available. Before we checked in, we had Sunday lunch with the family at the Inn. We were a group of 5 plus toddler and small dog. The food was delicious and plentiful. Although the price of £30 for 2 courses was higher than average, the quality and amount of food were excellent. We stayed in a Garden room across the road from the main restaurant / inn. The annex smelt very fresh and clean as we entered and the bed was very comfortable.

All in all very nice place to stay but little overpriced

Hotel was clean, tidy and well presented. We had booked 2 rooms as we were visiting family for an evening event over the road in the Garden Room. We were able to check in earlier than 3pm as the rooms were ready. We were in rooms #5 and #8 and both overlooked the front of the Inn and main road but there wasn't any noise from passing traffic as i think the inn is quite rural anyway. Both room had free coffee & tea making facilities and bottled water with biscuits and nibbles. The Bed was well comfy, so too were the pillows. - if there would be one reason to go back it would be the bed The standalone wardrobe had a hang rail which wasn't high enough for hanging dresses but just about for trousers and shirts , although there was hanging pegs on the walls. The shower was hot and powerful and came with shampoo and gel and the towels smelt fresh All doors upstairs were very noisy and creaky and slammed shut but we tried to hold the door so not to wake other guests but wasn't reciprocated by other guests. This could be down to the character of the inn as a whole as it was oldy worldly but had an open fire downstairs and wooden beams with stone walls, but didn't look like it was falling to bits. We didn't get chance to sample the breakfast as we had to leave the next morning earlier than 0830. Nice touch that the inn is also dog friendly and offered treats and snacks for dogs.

I know that are needed but the green emergency escape signs pretty much illuminated the entire room, so pack a face mask if you like it dark to sleep.

Fantastic room, clean tidy with everything you need, great location to sit outside, restaurant and bar lovely with an open fire. Friendly and welcoming staff so would definitely recommend!!
