Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Left my shoes under the bed by accident, and the staff told me they couldn’t find them after not responding for a few days.

Staff! They were unfriendly, especially when faced with Asians. Bathroom, there are almost no cabinets or platforms for putting things on public bathrooms.

Not so quiet were the bed sheets, I suppose there was some kind of plastic underneath. So they make quite a lot of noise when someone turns around. But that is just a very tiny inconvenience. Overall it was a very good hostel.
Great Hostel, great location, very clean and friendly. Everything there you might need and a super nice extra: the sound-proof bathroom: I couldn‘t hear a thing when someone took a late night shower! Regular hostel users know that loud bathrooms can be annoying.

This is just my preference, but mattress was a bit too hard for my liking. And street noise, I know it’s not something they can affect but if someone is light sleeper and has trouble sleeping it’d be good to know.
I really liked how clean it is. Also the location, it’s few minutes walk from underground. Rooms are decent size and everyone is super nice.

The common area was a bit on the cold side this time. Please turn the heating up.

Next time I would request an all female dorm as I did end up being the only female which did make me feel a little uncomfortable but that was my own fault for not realising I had chosen the mixed dorm.
It was an excellent hostel and I would stay again.

The matrasses were really thin and there was dust in the room that seemed to be there ever since the 1960s. A refurbishment after the takeover couldn't have hurt! It is nowhere near hostels in for instance Sweden or Copenhagen.
The location is the main reason for booking this accommodation & the price

It was very basic but absolutely fine for the purpose. Great location, very easy to walk to the station. All members of staff I met were very friendly and helpful.There were towels in the room even though there was a message that towels were extra.

There was bit of a weird smell on level 6 that could have been fixed with some spray or air freshener but it wasn’t that bad.
I loved the facilities and the 24/7 reception. I was on a buisness trip and got into London at 0105 I was met with very friendly staff at the reception and was checked in with ease. The property had excellent facilities and access to a private shower and bathroom in the room as well as outside ones so I wouldn’t disturb anyone in the room. Plenty of space in the room for luggage storage and each bed had a light and charging spaces. I felt completely safe and looked after. I also got the continental breakfast which was really nice and the man serving me was lovely and friendly! The location is perfect for connections onto the underground, train stations and Eurostar. I have booked again as I will be travelling on holiday and it’s in easy walking distance to the Eurostar terminal. The showers were also great and bathrooms felt very clean. Lots of spaces for socialising and chilling.

First time staying at this hostel and it had a good vibe. Not as cheap as other hostels in the area but still a good price and close to the station. Staff were friendly, the room had lockers to store your stuff and I liked that the beds were made up already

It's not the accommodation's fault, but I didn't have the best nights' sleep due to it being a shared room with people arriving late (between 11:30 and 1am), but that's the hostel experience! It's not a cheap night's stay for a hostel, but I get that it is central London.
Great location for coming to London via Eurostar. Staff were kind and helpful, especially since I needed to make special arrangements to check out early and leave my bags there and use the bathroom to change later that morning.

There was nothing I didn’t like, but I do have a suggestion!! Perhaps having a fridge for guests to use, especially if you have some backpackers coming through could be helpful.
It’s in the best location!! Kings cross area is great, filled many shops and transportation options. The room I stayed in was clean and the bed was comfortable! The staff was so kind and helpful my entire stay 🤗

Beds had no privacy. I know it's a shared room, but still many places have curtains or something similar to give you some kind of privacy in the bed, or at least isolate from light.

I had a double booking but only found out too late, so I had been charge twice for same night I had paid an extra fee .. this had been dealt
