Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe taxi drops you off in the square where you are met by a member of staff who carries your cases down a lot of steps to the hotel reception, worth giving him a tip because he works very hard. Whenever you want to go out you must walk up the steps, you will be out of breath when you reach the top and desperate for a cold beer (any excuse!). If you cannot walk too well you will struggle with these steps, however, this is all part of the beauty of the island. When you get to the top of the steps there are plenty of good restaurants.
We have recently returned after staying at Agali Houses for our sons wedding in Santorini. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and snack bar are fantastic. You will find very comfortable sun lounges and views that will take your breath away.

Amazing view, nice staff, best location. Hot tub for some rooms that you can relax and enjoy the caldera view with sunset. Prepare yourself to take some stairs to get there, but the staff can help with the luggages.

Our stay in the Superior Suite with Caldera View was wonderful. I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel and it met all of my expectations. The room was at the bottom of the property and felt very private. The view from the balcony was stunning. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. As others have mentioned, there are a lot of stairs involved but that added to the private feeling of the hotel as it was away from the influx of cruise ship passengers on the main streets. The staff was great as well. Overall, I would recommend this hotel!

AustraliaGorgeous apartment, the view is just incredible perfect sunset side of Santorini. Very comfortable room with big balcony had table and chairs and two sun loungers. The pool area is fantastic was busy but always enough beds. Staff were amazing and carried bags up and down for us as a lot of steps. Good exercise! Lots of restaurants and shops at top of stairs or an easy 10min walk to Thera or easy to organise transfer to Oia through hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

United KingdomGreat location looking over the Caldera, the views are incredible. Very clean all over the hotel, staff are so helpful and friendly. Huge shout out to the guys who carry the luggage to and from street level as it’s a lot of steps to come down/up. The steps are a lot (from our room to street level 132) but we just took our time, took pics at different levels which broke it up so that made it more manageable. Don’t be put off by the steps though as the hotel is incredible, the views are stunning and the staff are great!

AustriaThe first Superior Double Bedroom we had, had a glass shower with no privacy at all. That's probably okay when you travel with a partner, but when traveling with Family it is very uncomfortable. Additionally the glass Shower was right in front of the window, so when you didn't close the curtains, everyone outside could watch you shower. The Toilet also had a glass door, but at least this time a milk glass door, so you couldn't see through. Nevertheless you could not lock it and there was big gap (about the width of a pinky finger) between the frame and the door. So you could hear about everything going on in there, which I personally don't like. We asked if there was another room available without a glass shower and the next day we moved to another Superior Double Bedroom. It was better, because the bathroom was a separate room. But again the Bathroom had a milk glass door without a lock an with a big gap (same as the toilet explained above). Same problem with noises from the toilet and new problem, that the wind (when the bathroom window was open) would open the door occasionally. We "fixed" this by hanging a towel on the door, which would jam the door a bit, so it would be too hard to open for the wind alone.
The view was great. The best view in Santorini I think. You could lie at the pool and have a panorama view right in front of you. The Staff was also super friendly. Food at the pool bar was delicious too. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning was working great.

FranceThe cleanliness in one of the rooms could have been slightly better as there were some ants when we just checked in. Also, while beyond the hotel's control, it should be noted that you need to walk up and down around 100 steps to get from the road to the hotel. Wasn't an issue for us but worth noting for those with poor mobility.
The rooms were very large and had large terraces. The staff was nice and helpful and the hotel breakfast was delicious (though expensive). The views were excellent as there were no other hotels below it.

EVERYTHING! From arrival, Bora at Front Desk arranged a pick-up service at the airport, till we left 6 days later; everyone was super! The dining staff was sweet and attentive, as was our room attendant. Loved our Honeymoon Suite. Although a little expensive, IT’S WORTH EVERY PENNY! It was spacious and very private, with a “drop the mike” view!!! The entire staff was first rate! A big shout out to George, the Porter, for carrying all those bags & never complaining. (People: tip him well for all those 100+ steps!) And our gratitude to Bora for all the arrangements she made for us, and for her sweet and charming attitude!

IrelandThe shower setup in our room was awful with just a tiny shower head at an awkward angle in a bath tub. Added to that we had to switch on the hot water 20 minutes before using. The creaky frosted-glass bathroom door wasn't great but from what I’ve seen is normal in Greece. - No free shuttle bus so the private shuttle bus to and from the ports were quite expensive. - The cleaners missed some bird droppings on one of the balcony lounge chairs. - One free bottle of water each during the course of our long stay wasn't enough. It's possible that they don’t want to be carrying down 50+ bottles of water down those steps on a daily basis.
We found Agali Houses the ideal place to stay in Santorini. It’s quiet, secluded and surrounded surprisingly by many affordable and high quality restaurants and shops. Fira was just a short walk away and we found Imerovigli and Oia extremely expensive. The stairs to and from the main road are steep but that’s the price to pay and we just got used to them. - The hotel itself looks great and is maintained well with plenty of colourful flowers that add to the stylish exteriors. - The unobstructed views of the Caldera from our balcony were absolutely spectacular both in the mornings and for sunset. - We felt very much at home at the pool and bar area which had plenty of lounge chairs and seating areas to relax in. - Staff were very friendly and helpful. - The buffet breakfast was fine, we enjoyed it on our first and last morning but wouldn’t be going every morning as there’s plenty of other options close by.
