Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Netherlandseverything was oke!
Rooms clean and with nice and new furniture. Clean pool. Breakfast was excellent and very complete. Location is good, just a small stroll to the city, beach nearby. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We got a lot of tips for places to see, restaurants, backgrounds and some history of the island and the cities. Thanks especially Vivianne for her time and tips!

TurkeyWhat a wonderful place! People at the hotel are super nice, and the views are amazing, there is a beach nearby and also some good restaurants and bars within walking distance.

United KingdomThe size of the fridge - maybe guests are expected to have breakfast in reception and eat out either around Samos or at the pool bar. There were also no cooking rings as advertised on the main description page for the property. The bedside lights were overhead and had quite strong bulbs. These took a while to get used to. I booked a room for 2 people, but the staff took my extra towels after 1 full day. Usually, hotels leave them and either don't replace them or they don't care as you've paid a daily room rate. The lack of hot water on a morning. I assumed this was because of solar water heating and that they don't have enough to cope with all the guests (estimated 80 to 100) they may have staying at any time. However, I mentioned it to the lady on reception at check-out, and she said that this shouldn't haven't been the case as the block has its own water heater. Note: The safe is charged at €15 per week regardless of how many days you stay. The parking is public, across the road, and is also used by visitors to Gagou beach, so you may sometimes struggle to park.
The view from the balcony and the parasol that keeps both the balcony and room cool as it meant the air conditioning was needed less, even in August. The very comfortable bed - what did we ever do without mattress toppers! The shower when there was hot water, which was usually between 2pm and 9pm.

Excellent location, easy walking distance to a couple of nice bars and restaurants. Also only a short walk into the centre. Staff incredibly helpful, organised a car hire for us prior to arrival. Views were spectacular, truly amazing. Pool was good and the snacks we had were very tasty.

United KingdomThe room we were originally offered (room 12) was very nice but up 97 steps. Too much for me. We requested and were given a different room, equally nice and far fewer steps.
We just had breakfast one day but it was good.

TurkeyVery nice and helpful staff; thank you Elsa and Vivian for making me feel at home! Easy to reach Samos port and Vathy on foot. Clean, renovated and spacious apartments. Gagou beach is not that good though. You can reach other beaches easily by car; just ask the staff who is ready to give you tips & advices.

GreeceThere was no parking available. Good luck finding parking nearby during July-August! There's just not enough space on the road. The wifi never worked (for 5 days!). The room wasn't quiet, I could hear people in the nearby rooms. The breakfast was nothing to write home about - I guess it was tasty but barely passable quantity-wise. If it's not included in the price best buy and make your own! There was a safe but there was no key to use it so it was useless! My bed had no blanket, I had to ask the concierge for one! The blankets were so small I could barely fit under one and I'm just 1.85m tall. I can't imagine very tall people be pleased with that! Thank god it gets hotter from now on! Moreover, there was no hot water during our first day there. The room was equipped with a kitchen but a microwave would have been more helpful and we couldn't find a small pot to boil an egg. The stuff couldn't even provide one. In general, this hotel needs a bit better managing. The tables for the breakfast were a lots less than the occupants (one day we had to wait standing up for 15 minutes before we could sit down - and we had a child with us). The pool beds aren't enough for everybody and some of them don't even have umbrellas. The pool was always closed in the evening (!). There was a bar with chairs and tables beside the pool which was never open during the evening or night so you could never really have a drink or coffee there and admire the view - what's the point?? This could have been a really amazing stay if some things had been better organized. We visited in early June and maybe they weren't fully ready yet but that's no excuse imho.
The room was spacious and had a great view. It also looked like it was recently renovated! The beds were comfortable and the stuff did their best to accomodate us! The pool was nice and our daughter loved it! But that's where all the good things end..

United States of AmericaThere was nothing not to like really.
The staff were exceptional. Vivian made our stay in Samos one to remember. She technically became our tour guide. I have never had better than that. When the hotel people treat you like family, you will have the best time. She spent a lot of time with us explaining the history of Samos to us and also helping us find the best places and restaurants on the island. She was amazing, and we were very lucky to have her. Elsa made it very easy for us to have anything we needed with a great and beautiful smile. It makes your day when you have someone like Elsa greeting and assisting you. Anna was very welcoming and pleasant that we would feel so comfortable chatting with her and asking her for anything. And Maryam was very sweet with her vibrant smile and readiness to make everything available. She moved around the rooms like a hard working bee making sure everything was very good. Even the owner, with whom we chatted, made us feel like we own the place. You don’t usually have that feeling when you stay at any hotel. Simply it was a blessing for us to have chosen this hotel to stay at. And we would choose the same hotel if we go back to Samos, hopefully soon.
