Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThere's nothing to complain about to be honest.
The location in the village is fantastic as you're higher up in the town and have a great view of the landscape. The owners were absolutely delightful and added to the experience. Get the breakfast while you're there at least once. It's delicious :)

Netherlandsthat we couldn’t stay longer
we intended staying for 1 night, but ended up staying 3. this is absolutely the best place to stay in greece. syrrako is an idyllic village without cars, located in a beautiful mountain range. casa calda really felt like home. it’s a tiny secluded piece of paradise, with beautiful, well-maintained and clean rooms, with an amazing garden with lots of flowers, and THE BEST HOST ever. the lady of the house (Poppy) is just the sweetest. she only spoke Greek (her son speaks English but was out of town) but we immediately wanted to adopt her like our grandma. She explained us with hand and feet everything to do around the area (hiking, sightseeing, rafting) and we felt so much at home. the breakfast served by Thomas was great as well our interactions and conversations throughout our stay. this is the perfect place to relax in beautiful nature and I am sure we will be back here! we recommend going in low season, to get optimal piece and quiet

United States of AmericaI'm a flat-lander American with wide roads ... made me anxious but they are in good condition. Doesn't bother any other travelers, just me. That said, wouldn't have missed this amazing place.
The traditional home has been in the family for generations and they have modernized it beautifully. It overlooks the mountains and canyons of the Tzoumerka with amazing hiking trails from the gorgeous village. The home cooked meals can keep you full until evening and the people are fun and generous. There is a lot to see in the area and the walk to the canyon mill, nearby town of Kalarrites and the monastery shouldn't be missed. The host is passionate about the area and will provide you with loads of places to experience.

IsraelLiked everything. Keep in mind that you cannot enter the village by car so you have to take you luggage with you which could be a bit problematic.
The property is located in a closed ancient village so if you are looking for this kind of experience, casa calda is perfect. The owner is nice, helpful and communicative, breakfast (not included) was lovely!

IsraelThe hotel is connected to the nearest parking by a rather steep stone footpath about 30 m long, whose surface is not necessarily level enough for suitcase wheels (sharp inclines are a distinguishing feature of Syrrako). If you're staying on the upper floor, expect a steep flight of a dozen stairs or so. Not to detract from our warm recommendation, but something to consider if you have mobility issues or such.
A beautiful building in a beautiful village, with a comfortable, cozy and quiet room. Vasilis, who also manages the family restaurant in the village center, is very helpful and communicative. Breakfast (optional, prepared on the spot) is filling and sufficiently varied.

IsraelWe loved everything. One important point. There are 2 double rooms. One is small and the other is larger. If you booked the larger one, make sure you get what you ordered, especially, on busy times.
Vasilis is an amazing host. Made us feel at home. The Location is perfect. The village is beautiful and good food at Vasili's Taverna. Vasilis gave us advice for the route of a full day hike which was awesome. I must say, We had a hard time leaving his place.

United States of AmericaThe place has a beautiful view, the host was very helpful and explained very well all options for sights in the area. We took his hiking recommendation over the gorge to the next village and it was spectacular. The breakfast was great, beyond expectations! We're vegetarian and I also can't eat eggs, both of which ususally make breakfast a challenge but the one there was so varied and tasty even considering our limitations.
