Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaSuch a warm and inviting home-tel, just lovely. The location is perfect, quiet but close to everything I wanted to do including a short walk to the beach. Despina and Ana are so attentive, great Greek hospitality. My room was charming yet modern facilities. Highly recommend for a solo traveler and I was also able to work remotely from there in my room and upstairs on the patio with a view of the sea.

United States of AmericaChateau zevgoli was terrific! Right in the middle of the Labyrinth in Naxos town. There are helpful signs all over for how to get back to the hotel and you are right in the middle of the best part of Naxos. The view is terrific as well, especially in the evening for sunset. We will be coming back!

United States of AmericaNothing important.
What a beautiful little jewel box of a hotel! The original building, built in the 1800s, has been carefully preserved and renovated as needed. But there are charming details throughout. The staff (housekeeping) and the people who run it are generous and thoughtful. The views extraordinary. Watching the sunset every night from the balcony was lovely. No taxi can get you close to the hotel, the streets are far too narrow and impassable. So don’t be surprised when they have to leave you at the bottom of the hill to make your way up on your own. But it’s worth it.

United KingdomA fantastic location in Naxos. A lovely older hotel with a low key vibe. A quiet area but still walkable to all the action in the town front.

United KingdomThe bathroom was a bit tired perhaps. Clean with lots of hot water but with a shower curtain - (I just don’t like them).
A really interesting property - quirky old furnishings - we had the top room (suite)overlooking the Portala with a shared terrace - we had it to ourselves. Pretty garden entrance - other tourists were taking picture of it. Great location.

United States of AmericaThe owner was in the hospital when I visited so my visit would not be the norm. The room was comfortable and the place was clean and very conveniently located in the harbor town. It had a beautiful view from the balcony and was relatively quiet at night for rest. My only suggestion is that there be more places to put luggage and personal items in rooms. The bathroom needed more hooks to hang towels and shelf for personal items.

SwitzerlandThere was a miscommunication regarding our reservation for a scooter, which ended up in not getting one.
Chateau Zevgoli is perfectly located in the city. There are restaurant bars, shops, hotels within a few meters, and we literally walked from the port. The terrace offers a nice view of the city and the portal-like structure which symbolizes Naxos. Check-in and -out was smooth and easy. The staff were friendly and responsive.

United States of AmericaNothing at all. I was super satisfied and very happy with my stay!
Upon arriving we were greeted by Eva, who was amazingly friendly and welcoming and helped us check in to our room. I was surprised at how spacious the room was and fell in love with the view of the city and the sea. The room was very clean and came with all the necessities including access to wifi. The hotel is located by many shops, restaurants, and very close to the pier. You can easily walk to the beach or to the Portora. Throughout our stay and even after checking out both Eva and Sofia were very kind and helpful. I cannot emphasize enough how beautiful the view was from our room. We were able to see the Portora, the sea and the beautiful sunset all from our bedroom window. We also had access to patio area that also overlooked the city and provided a beautiful view of the Portora, the sunset and the sea. I am very grateful to have chosen Chateau Zevgoli for our stay in Naxos.
