Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Great location, very close to the old port and just in the ancient town. Easy to go around and explore the beautiful place.

AustriaSome oddities that aren't deal breakers, but that I'd like to share: - There wasn't a soap tray. Whilst I wouldn't have minded the bar of soap just stay on the side of the sync (albeit causing some wet spots), the cleaning staff persistently put the bar of soap on our personal items (e.g. a can of hair wax or handcreme). This became a bit of an annoyance as of course that would leave soapy residue on our items. Not sure why there just wasn't a 50¢ little bowl put in there. - I'm not sure about this one, but it felt to me that after we used the coffee mugs in the room, those were never cleaned or exchanged. After a couple days of drinking coffee, they became a bit sticky. - Common for hotel rooms to have this, but be aware that power is cut when your remove your key card from the room. This makes it a bit more tedious to charge devices whilst you're underway. - Lastly, the doors, when left open for a longer than a couple second, give off a really loud beeping sound. I understand the reason for this (to alert you if you forgot to close the door completely) but the timer could maybe be set a bit longer. It will beep almost anytime you go in & out, and this was a sound we would hear at night from the hallways sometimes from other rooms.
The location is absolutely fantastic and the bed's are soooo comfy! The staff was also nice and welcoming and the place even smelled very pleasant haha. I really like the style of the rooms, feels like a proper little loft instead of a just a generic hotel room. I can recommend staying here.

Everything perfect. No breafast is served at the premises, but this not an issue since too many other places around serve breakfast.

United States of AmericaYou could hear pigeons or another animal walking on the roof, made me nervous! No elevator, but that’s to be expected with an old building.
The room was very modern with all the amenities of a fancy hotel but had all the charm of the old town of Chania. We loved the location, very central to everywhere we wanted to go but also not loud or crowded. Plus the staff were so helpful!

BulgariaI didn’t like that it was too dark in the room…apartments on the first floor don’t have a view….there is a big house in front, which makes the apartment dark. In my opinion they should not put on the ad only the apartment with the view, which is most probably on the second floor.
The place was clean, location is really nice, people who are working there were nice and helpful

Position of the hotel was stunning right on Chania beach front, close to the restaurant and shops. The view was amazing, relaxing and most important was the location 5 seconds on the beach.

GermanyNo direct reception in the house (available, but not open), so we have to pickup the keys nearby. but not a big issue though. Parking is tricky due to the high demand in that area. But that’s normal.
A fantastic location, our room with a great view over the harbour, close to excellent restaurants and bars. The interior and ambiance are stylish, bed was great. And the view through all windows, especially at njght was georgeous. Highly recommended.

BelgiumThere should be more hangers in case you want to wash and dry clothes There is no real door between the bathroom/restrooms and the bedroom, so it can be annoying during the night (light, noise from the exhaust fan) We didn't ask, but they should provide 2 cards. You need a card to enter the building and to enter the room. So if your partner comes at a different time, you have to go down to open the door No balcony or windows (or a very small one). Don't trust the pictures!
Very comfortable bed and room Close to the old port but very quiete Nice digital TV with lot of channels, including non greek channels Nice bathroom Also get some coffee machine /water Convenient plugs to recharge phone/devices
