Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly negative was the poolside bathroom, not working with many bathrooms out of order, the one toilet was not working 100%, and the shower was without hot water you wanted to rinse off before returning to room
Absolutely lovely staff, comfortable beds, extremely clean rooms, beautiful outdoor areas/well presented, room cleaning and servicing absolutely outstanding.

United KingdomThere's nothing we didn't like really, the hotel is Small but very good. My overriding memory of Chania, so this has nothing to do with the hotel is Mosquito bites. I'm not usually bothered by them...I'm usually laughing at my wife as she gets eaten alive on a regular basis but this time, they found me particularly tasty...within 24 hours I think I counted 15 bites up my legs...the old Citronella helped but only started using that once I realised there was such an issue...they were very small buggers not easily seen...more like Midge's than Mosquito. That's obviously got nothing to do with the hotel although having been to Antalya (Turkey) on business recently which is not a million miles away maybe the resort could do more to combat it. In Antalya there seemed to be these Mosquito traps strapped to trees all over the place which I can only assume worked well as I didn't get any bites there. But insects happen sometimes, and one season can be bad, the next it's fine so not really a reason to not go to Chania...maybe just use Citronella from the get go just in case :-)
The pool was great and because it was a quieter time of year there was never a problem with sun beds/space around pool, but I wonder if it were more peak time it could be more challenging? The staff were very attentive and the breakfast was very complete but maybe too much for us...it's not a buffet, nor is it menu choice, the staff serve you up a set menu of Greek yogurt, in a cute enclosed jar along with little pots of honey, walnuts, Nutella and oats/granola I think it was for you to add to your liking. Freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee, water. A basket of mixed pastries, toast/bread. Then a round of Ham & Cheese toasties. There was also always some form of eggs served...either boiled eggs, fried eggs or an Omelette. If fried egg or omelette then these were served with a balsamic dressed side salad. Everyone got the same, even the kids...so it was very thorough. The only problem is the kids and my wife don't really eat eggs and me being a typical Brit not wanting to offend and equally also horrified a the idea of the food wastage ended up eating several omelettes or fried eggs :-). The hotel location is about 15 minutes walk from the Old Town so for the price is good...you can certainly find closer hotels/rooms but then you'd pay more and/or the quality wouldn't be the same. For us, a family of 4 inc. an 11 year old and 14 year old the walk was not a problem and nice even to walk off a meal in the evening. There were other families at the hotel with much younger children/stroller ages and they seemed to be okay with it. As I say, I found it quite good value for a place with a pool. The breakfast in hindsight for us maybe we could have done without, not that it was bad at all, just a lot of it and with a supermarket right next door we could have gone for more simple fair and there are several good cafe's within a minute's walk of hotel if we didn't fancy making breakfast.

IrelandRoom view of room 211 just looked out onto concrete wall. Unfortunately breakfast was repetitive every day.
Very attentive & helpful staff especially Nikos who helped with car hire & places to visit, he was delightful to deal with. We had a very late check in & as reception closes at 10pm they gave me excellent instructions on where to find room key & how to access our room. Location was good, approximately 20 minute walk to old town & harbour of Chania. Rooms were very spacious & lovely comfortable beds. The pool area & gardens are well maintained & kept spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would stay here again. I would recommend this property to family & friends.
