Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was a bit small. Tv didn't work. The toilet's door couldn't be opened because it got stuck
We were there for one night and it was exactly what we needed - a place to rest after a long day of driving and visiting the monasteries. The staff was great, there were hot water in the shower and the hotel is close to the center.

Loud fridge, had to turn in off at night to get some sleep.

No elevator, the building is not that modern. Is a value for money place.
Clean, central, cheap. A place to sleep and have a shower when visiting Meteora. Very helpful staff.

I liked the location. Very central, right close to the hotel there are bars, restaurants and shops. Excellent location! Staff very helpful! The room l booked was a bit small for my liking but comfortable. It also had a window that opens on a roof, overlooking the huge rocks of the monastery. For what I paid, for this area in general it was good value for money. It was a perfect stay.

The TV set was tiny, which didn't really matter because we spent most of the day out, but it was the size of a small laptop screen and a bit hard to operate. Too many cables, remotes and a bit too old.
It was conveniently located. Nice staff.

Average, old style hotel with limited amenities. The balcony door has neither shutters, nor mosquito net. There is no elevator. They don't accept cards and demand payment in cash only.
The woman working at the reception the day I arrived was friendly and tried her best to accommodate me.

Hotel was good for one night stop. Located perfectly. Room is a bit old and it's not so functional for longer stay. View was also so-so.
Location is good and stuff was super friendly. You have all you need, it's just older but that's why price is good.

The list of negatives is long. I paid close to 100 Euro per night for a room and was expecting a comfortable stay. Not at all value for money. - firstly, the property is old and reeks of lack of maintenance right from the entrance. - there's parking for only 3-4 cars. you'll get street parking (officially illegal near the hotel) or in a public parking lot 200m away. Good luck finding a spot during busy times. - there's no lift so you'll have to haul your luggage. Luckily for us, Nico who checked is in, helped us. - our room was old and poorly maintained. The paint was chipping off the walls, the bathroom doorjamb was held together with duct tape. - the bathroom is terribly small - the shower stall is a 1m X 1m enclosure with a flimsy shower curtain. I have a small frame and could hardly move inside without the shower curtain sticking to me while bathing. Besides, the shower stall is barely 20cm away from the toilet bowl. - the room is small (granted that the bed is full-size) with hardly any space left over to keep ones luggage and opening my suitcases was a chore. There are two chairs in the balcony but you cannot bring them inside because there is no space. - The level of comfort Inn the room is 1 out of 5. I had to request the staff for an electric kettle, no coffee was provided for the room, the electric fittings and furniture seem like an afterthought. Overall, they create enough minor inconveniences that add up.
- All the staff are helpful and pleasant. No complaints! - Then again, the service is the only good thing about this hotel, and even that is what one would expect at the very least. - they have both good old fashioned heating and AC. However the heating often gets too warm and you have to ask the front desk to turn it down.

The parking is small, so you can't always find the place to park.
