Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumVery bad wifi connection in my room at the end of the corridor. Daily knocking on the door in the morning to clean the room. The place is hard to find without any properly visible name boards outside. The smartTv was useless as it didn't receive the WiFi signal either.

United States of AmericaReception was not readily available during check-in times and we had to contact them and wait a bit before being able to check in.
The 4-5 person apartment was pretty spacious with a small kitchenette set up. It was very clean, courtesy of a very sweet and talented housekeeper. They provided extra soaps, blankets, and pillows as well as daily housekeeping services. There was a good sized courtyard in the back that was perfect for securely storing our group’s bikes (11 total). Beds were pretty comfortable, but not the best. We also had a spacious balcony that had a nice view and was great for drying clothes. There is a great cafe right downstairs as well!

Poland-annoyingly loud smoke detector in the kitchen -furniture could be newer (but it is still functional) -at least two switches, that weren't described or explained, what do they turn on (one in bathroom, one in bedroom) -loud bells on Sunday morning (although it is hard to blame hotel for that)
Pros: +very good location +quite enough space for three adults (or three people in total, 4 is too much in my opinion) +huge terrace with really nice view +efficiently working AC units (although, unit in bedroom is a bit loud) +cheap (I've paid 35 €, which is a fantastic price for that location during summer time) +nice bathroom (tiny, but fully functional) +equipped "kitchen" - you can easily fry, cook, there's full service (just for two people) of cutlery, as well as coffee express, sink, owen

AustraliaNo one to check us in, reception was never manned at all. We had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come after we called a number displayed on the door. The Lady that came was unwelcoming, unfriendly, not helpful at all, never smiled once and provided no information. The only thing she was good at was having a scowl on her face and when we dared to ask if we could use the lift to take our suitcase up ( the lift was right next to her) she snapped at us use the stairs! No instructions on check out and where to leave the key, we got that information by asking the kind cleaning lady.(we left the key with her, as no one at reception) The other major downside was the tiny bathroom that was the size of a toilet cubicle, considering the size of the 2 bedroom apartment you would’ve thought that there was plenty of room for a decent sized bathroom, but no! It was very cramped and you could barely fit one person….it was very narrow and uncomfortable. Toiletries provided were cheap and nasty, towels a bit like cardboard.
Fantastic location, short walk to town centre, but far enough to be away from all the noise. The apartment very spacious and comfortable and very clean. We had 2 balconies as it was 2 bedroom apartment. The cleaning lady very helpful and friendly. Loved the cafe below, great coffee with a fantastic variety of pastries and cakes. Had great breakfast choices.

FinlandThe check-in was a major disappointment. I had noticed in the Booking.com reviews that other people had complained about it, so I asked my local friend to contact the hotel and they said that the check-in is not available between 11am-3pm, but it is possible to leave the luggage there while waiting. I tried to hurry and arrived just barely after 11am not having slept at all during the night and had to go to the downstairs cafe to ask where the hotel entrance is since it wasn't marked in any way and the building looks like it'd be normal apartments, not a hotel. Having found the door, I tried to call someone and after a while a cleaning lady appeared and understood I wanted to leave my bags which we then took to the cellar. When returning at 3pm there was nobody and finally at 3:30pm a man came to check me in. When I left the hotel, I just left the key in the room. I.e. on the arrival day I was hurrying for nothing since the reception was NEVER actually open, they just come there to give the keys, so it is really poor service that they don't arrange someone to give the key even during the middle of the day if the time would be agreed on in advance. The shower was rather poor, I took cold showers all week. And there is a church right behind the hotel, so the bells ring very loudly at 7am and 6pm, but that didn't actually bother me much and neither did the traffic, but both can be a problem to light sleepers.
I was travelling alone, but they had placed me in a 2-bedroom apartment as they probably didn't have smaller ones available. One of the bedrooms was a bit smaller, but both ok size - and there was a separate kitchen with a table + 3 chairs as well. Cleaning lady was nice and the location is very central. A big balcony.

GermanyThe hanger for the shower was broken so you had to hold the shower head while taking a shower.
We loved that the apartment got cleaned everyday. Also towels where replaced when they were dirty. Our drain in the bathroom was blocked so we had 1 day a issue with to much water on the floor. This Problem got solved at the same day after a quick call and we could enjoy our shower again in the evening. We loved the quick and efficient solution.

United Kingdombathroom could be a little bigger and cleaning although wonderfully done every day by a joyful and nice lady, could pay a bit more attention to hidden spots such as light switches
Large size apartment in perfect central location for an affordable price, cleaned every day, individual rooms for children and adults, individual kitchen, balconies, right next to one of the best streets of Kos town, walking distance to both the big ferries port and the smaller harbor port for day cruises to other island, right in the middle of all the archeologic attractions such as agora, casa romana, western escavations. Plus next to shopping places. Perfect location really to live like a local in a very central location.

NetherlandsThe place isn't very clean. There are spots in the bedsheets and towels, the kitchen utility isn't clean and in the bathroom it is advisable to wear your slippers.
The apartment was located just outside the old city center of Kos and above a very tasty lunchroom. The place is spacious (at least for two people) and the airconditioning is working well. The WiFi connection is fine and the small balcony gives you the nice opportunity to just sit down and overlook the lively street and its people. For the price you pay, the apartment is fine.

SlovakiaIn our apartment missed knife in the kitchen so the first day we couldn't cut bread or whatever, but the second day I saw the cleaning lady and said that I need knife, the afternoon it was there. If was cold weather or winter I would not like the blankets, but now in summer I didnt need to use it. (Just personal oppinion, seemed older type furry blankets, of course they would do their job in winter) When you are a couple maybe you don't like that there are single beds , so we had to put them together, of course there was 15 cm space between materasses but we filled it with one of the winter blankets to have a flat surface for sleeping. We use to do it this way if there is not double bed but two singles. The reception was always closed, so a bit lack of contact, but there were phone numbers in case of need or for information. When we arrived, we called one of the numbers and he came after 5 minutes.
The position of hotel is very good. Close to the town, port, shopping opportunities, excavations.... General hospital and also private clinic on the same street. Unfortunately I needed to visit it for the first time in my life, fortunately not for so serious issue. The hotel room was very clean. Cleaning late was a kind old lady which didn't speak a lot English but all what you need to answer to tourist. The kitchen had a two spot cooker, coffee machine (didn't use it) , boiler for water and toaster, really great! Plates, cuttleries and cups, one pan and one large pot (maybe too large) and some other kitchen wares. It was important for us to be able to cook as we traveled with our child. Smart TV in one room with many channels and possible to connect to Internet so we could watch even some YouTube channels with our child, he was very happy to see his favourite cartoons. Air-condition in both rooms, worked well. I liked the area around hotel, pine trees around, jasmine in gardens of other houses smells all day... a beautiful church infront (but it sounds every day 6:58 and Sundays also more times). Under the hotel is a cafeteria (not pizzeria as on photos, it was years ago) , the coffee is good and I used to jump down almost every morning and take a cup of coffee to our room (I took cups from room and they made me coffee in it, not take cups from cafeteria) and they also have good selection of sweets for breakfast and some other snacks...
