The only problem is the bar downstairs. Extremely loud music late.

There was a bar downstairs which on occasion played very loud music however earplugs were supplied in the room.

Lovely accommodation in a perfect location. Communication was good and I was pleased to be permitted to leave my bags there until I could check in to the room which was a big help. The room exceeded expectations and the little welcome touches much appreciated. I would recommend and definitely stay there again if I came back to Chania.

Our room was directly above the bar/disco. Ok for one night, but not a very good option for people sensitive to noise and bass

I'm 160cm tall, which was inconvenient in the movie, but my husband and Thirteen, who are 180cm tall, were too short and accidentally had my head cut off many times. The bedroom is a bit boring. Everything else is fine.

The mattress was a bit soft.

Very nice rooms, super well located with a beautiful view over the ancient walls. They leave oranges (and a bottle of water) in the fridge every day, so you can make a fresh juice in the morning.

There really wasn’t much to not like. Just for other people to know: because it is in the center, there are bars around and one is right below the apartments, so it gets quite loud at night.

This place has an amazing location, right in the center of the Chania Old town. Just a few minutes away from the port and very close to all the municipal parking areas. The owner had left clear instructions on parking options, how to find the place etc. There was some water, raki and oranges waiting for us, it was a very nice surprise.

The smell when entering the room wasn't the best. Cucumber and onions kinda smell. The place was clean and everytime we came back from our trips on the island, someone would come in and tidy the room. Now, I am not sure I felt comfortable with that. It felt intrusive in a way and comforting in the other. Although, we stayed for 3 nights the towels have never been changed.

The location was in the centre, so we enjoyed not having to travel far. Air con was a plus. The place was clean and everytime we came back from our trips on the island, someone would come in and tidy the room in our absence. Mostly the bed. I even found my pijamas folded. Now, I am not sure I felt comfortable with that. It felt intrusive in a way and comforting in the other. Although, we stayed for 3 nights the towels have never been changed.

We received the precise directions for the procedure on arrival after we had left the UK so were unsure what to do when we arrived. We phoned the number on our booking confirmation and were given the key codes for entry and the names of our 2 rooms. However, one of the keys did not fit the room and it was already occupied by someone else who opened the door when we tried to use the key.. We then had to ring again and explain it was occupied, and were given another room name and directions to it. We only knew there was a souvenir gift which we should have received when we returned home, and we certainly did not see anything left in the hallway. So we are still unaware what it was.

The bed

This a nice place to stay in the heart of chania with a very short walk to the harbour. The room was spacious. The bed was a little on the slop so we slept on the opposite end to fix this.

Noise from downstairs pub on Wed, Fri and Saturday. However they provided us with earplugs which helped a lot.

The old building is amazing, our room had a loft that our kids loved. The other bed was in a beautiful domed ceiling space. So much charm. They did a great job making a small space work for a family of 4.

Although some rooms are on a top floor, my room was above the nightclub and for me the music was a problem. If you don’t plan to be in the room much in the evening and plan to be out for dinner and fun late, then it’s not a problem, but bring good ear plugs just in case.

Noisy/poor soundproof, the shower's water temperature was quite unstable, and the kitchen needs small improvements (broken light, not cleaned equipment). Lack of drying space and storage space.

Great location, beautiful building, feels authentic, daily cleaned and tidy by the staff, fresh oranges and raki every day. Friendly staff, AC in the room.

- not 10/10 clean but due to the specificity of the building it cannot be spotlessly clean - difficult to park if you come with a car - would be interesting if the host can add some introduction on the history of this building

Lack of natural sunlight made it hard for us to see and lighting wasn't very good

Great location, very clean (they came every day to clean and replace the towels, which was awesome !!), and very helpful staff! They were very accommodating and provided us with water, snacks and treats. Our only wish is that there was more natural light in the studio but otherwise we'd totally recommend it! Wifi worked amazingly.
