Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Maya apartments was a perfect place for our mini holiday. The apartment is clean, spacious, decorated very well and the atmosphere is wonderful with a big terrace and everything you need inside. The hosts are lovely and friendly people and we felt very happy with our choice to stay here. I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone who wants to enjoy their stay in Chalkidiki in a quiet apartment away from the crowds while feeling relaxed and happy.

Everything was perfect! Very clean, nice stuff. Natasha was very friendly and helped us a lot! All you need is in 1 minute distance. Sure will come again!

The apartment was very comfortable and clean. It was 50 m from the center of Hanioti located in a quiet and pleasant place. The host Natasha was very kind and always available if we needed anything.

verylimited cooking facilities just 2 ring hob maybe could have put in L shape kitchen so that toaster / microwave could be provided

there was a rusty manhole in the garden, with faulty rusty cover. One of the kids fell into it. Lucky there were only light scratches but its a risky place that needs to be fixed.
Good location, lots of space, clean. Close to center but silent at night. No parking problems in May.

This place is amazing. People were great. You feel like home for the first moment. Centar of the city and still super quiet for sleeping. Its even more beautiful than on the pictures. The stuff was amazing. Super friendly and helpful. The backyard on of the house is perfect for children. Shower outside ❤️ Very close to the beach ⛱️ Beautiful bathroom One of the best places we ever stayed Recommended 10/10 Coming back next year 😍 Thanks to all the people who made our stay so perfect 🥰💞💕💛

The place is great! The rooms looks like in the pictures, the place is very very clean and very close to the city center and to the beach! The host is really really nice and attentive to the visitors needs. I really recommend this property! ❤️

Maya apartment had everything you needed. The apartment was kept very clean and its interior was very modern. The beach was only 5 minutes walking distance away from the apartment. Close to the apartment there are many shops and restaurants for lunch and dinner. We were provided with everything we needed such as towels, iron, coffee machine and the kitchen was equipped with all the necessary kitchen supplies. The staff was very welcoming and took good care of us during our stay! Can't wait to come back :)

Dear Maya Apartments, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and concern about the recent experience I had during my vacation in Greece, where I rented an apartment through your company. I feel compelled to bring to your attention a serious issue that has greatly affected my health and well-being. Upon arrival at the rental apartment, my family and I were excited to begin our vacation. The apartment was clean and tidy, the was very nice and welcoming, everything was perfect. However, our excitement quickly turned into distress when my son and I fell seriously ill during our stay. After seeking medical attention, it was confirmed that we had contracted a tested Legionella infection, which is believed to have originated from the water system in the rented apartment. I am appalled that such a serious health hazard was present in a property that your company rents out to vacationers. Legionella bacteria thrive in poorly maintained water systems, and it is clear that the necessary precautions were not taken to ensure the safety of the occupants. This negligence has not only ruined our vacation but also posed a significant risk to our health. I urge you to take this matter seriously and investigate the conditions of the apartment's water system to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future or else I will have no solution but to contact the FCM Travel agency. In addition, I expect from this complaint to bring awareness and help other people who got through a similar situation with any type of accommodation. Your company's failure to uphold proper hygiene standards has caused unnecessary suffering, and it is imperative that appropriate actions are taken to rectify this situation. I trust that you will treat this complaint with the urgency it deserves and provide a timely response outlining the steps you plan to take to address this issue. I hope that you will prioritize the safety and well-being of your costumers.
The accommodation was nice and clean, the positioning of the apartment was pleasing, the household was very friendly and great. The only major problem was the contaminated water.
