Our stay at the place exceeded our expectations. An amazing location with history, tranquility, and a sea view. And, of course, I must mention Cleopatra, who proved to be the best host I've had the opportunity to meet.

Nothing. Just want to mention that the ceiling in the main bathroom was quite low.

The house was very authentic and very clean. Very good bed in the main bedroom. Enough materiel in the kitchen for cooking. Beautiful view to the sea. Lots of outside space to relax and for taking meals.

As this is an old, renovated building, the house has a limited number of windows, which some might find uncomfortable, and some rooms have short ceilings (1.85m max). This was not a problem for us at all however.

Kleopatra is a great host! The location is perfect, located right in Kerames village. The house itself has an amazing balcony-veranda, well-protected from the north & western winds which are quite often in the area, as well as a terrace. The house enjoys a great view of the south coast of Rethymno from Agios Pavlos to Preveli. A great place for large families or groups of friends, as there are 4 independent rooms equipped with a WC, and a full toilet-bath.

The house is very beautuful with amazing view of the sea. We arrived on New Years Day with my wife and my two young children and we had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and warm and the hostess is very hospitable. She offered us food, wine, raki and she had decorated a Christmas tree. We lit the fireplace and the whole house had a magical beauty. We really enjoyed our stay at home and at the village we found supermarket and taverna open. We highly recommend Kleopatra' s house not only for summer but for winter destination also. Thank you Kleopatra for this unique experience!

QUIRKY OLD GREEK HOUSE IN A SMALL VILLAGE WITH STUNNING VIEWS AND GREAT COMMUNITY

So as with all old properties there are quirks such as really low bathroom celling, meaning if you are over 170CM tall, standing up in the shower at full height is hard. But you kind of expect such things in houses that are 100's of years old, they were not built to modern standards.

The landlady was superb, she really bent over backwards to help us out. For example check in was delayed so she sent us to a local taverna and paid for a lunch for us, for me that was very generous and made my family happy. She gave us a guided tour of the village and a small gift when we left. So for us the host was spot on, she will really do her utmost to help you enjoy your stay. The house itself is a decent size and in a very small old style Greek village. Even the locals were welcoming to us, it was a quite lovely place with stunning views. The bed was really comfortable, pillows good and aircon worked. Plus if you have 8 people she has that many extra rooms on the patio, she could accommodate there, how good is that? Local Tavernas are CHEAP and damn good food, there is a lot to like location wise here.

The alterations done in the traditional stone building were not performed in the best way: both the bathroom and the lower bedroom could not fit a person taller than 1.80 m. Apart from that all bedrooms were tiny, with no windows.
