Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GreeceThe bathroom would really need a renovation, the shower head was a bit broken and the shower curtain seemed old. The rooms were far from soundproof. I went to the bathroom at night and heard the couple next door having a private moment.
I liked the location of the hotel. Although it wasn't located in the best neighborhood, the bus stop was two minutes from the hotel, and there was a police station across the street, so we kind of felt safe 😅 Also the staff was really kind ^^ they let us check in an hour early, and also kept our stuff at the reception after the check out, which we retrieved a few hours later. The room isn't that big, but it's ok for two people, and I also liked the full length mirror, essential for me and my friend.

United States of AmericaThe toilet leaks for the first two nights. The shower is extremely tiny and uncomfortable to use. There is no room to just soap up. There is no water pressure. Had I known this, I would NOT stay at this hotel. Maybe it's a common problem in Athens, but you cannot flush toilet paper in the toilet. Instead, you must put your toilet paper in a trash can, which must be emptied daily. Doing #2 is pretty disgusting!
The location is extremely close to the tram/bus station going to Syntagma square. The staff is very responsive in repairs needed.

IsraelThe décor is very tired. Smallest shower in the bathroom.
This is an average hotel with pleasant employs and located where you can walk to many restaurants, bars, and shops. Not a high quality, but if you meant for this to be an economical stay and it was.

GermanyVery very friendly and welcoming receptionists! We felt very welcomed and they gave us great tipps. The hotel is located a bit of a walk from the city center, which was not an issue for us. You can also take trams/busses from nearby. Clean and quiet room.

CroatiaThe carpet, although I guess clean, looked dirty, it was full of what seemed like cigarette burns. Also, the door of the bathroom couldn't close because the door knob was broken.
It was pretty much clean, we had room service every day and the staff was very helpful. The location was okay, it's to far to walk to the centre, but you only need two buss stops and two metro stops to get to Monastiraki, it's pretty easy and fast.

United KingdomArea of location is a bit out of the centre (15 mins by bus) but this can be disregarded due to the cost of the place.
Despite being 2* accommodation hotel provides all necessary amenities in adequate condition. Work of the staff is top notch.

HungaryLocation not bad for the price but the area seems to be on the border of a run down, dodgy-ish neighborhood and a hip, friendly area. The carpet in the room could be changed, the shower handle barely worked, the TV doesnt turn on.

United KingdomWi-Fi didn’t work properly as my room was far from the router. We got breakfast only once and it wasn’t very good. Coffee was great though.
There were several restaurants nearby and good value for money. Staff was fantastic. 25 minute walk from the old town.

Romaniamost of the rooms are with the view very close to other properties, have a dark net on window. we were lucky to stay in the most spacious room on the hotel because at the one they gave us innitially the AC doesn’t work at that day :-). Also the neibourghhood doesn’t look friendly at all. In the front of the property was a police station and the entrance on the street was blocked by them so we have to make couple of rounds until we reach the entrance of the parking. Otherwise you have no chance to park on 1km area. But the underground parking was ok. Be aware that you have to pay 12€/day for it.

Switzerlandnothing very special, some details were missing in order to make my experience from good to vey good. For example, while the towels were super clean I was left wondering why there was a hole on one of them? or there was a missing light bulb on one of the bedside lights. the building was nice with style but I guess the property should be rather old as the carpets looked old despite the renovated looking room
the location was great, close to public transportation but also the Kipseli square

United States of Americathe building is extremely old so several things could be improved. didn’t have AC for most of my stay, bad wifi, and I think the most notable is you can hear absolutely everything on your floor. I could hear everything other guests said during the night from opening their door until they closed the elevator. Feels like they’re in your rooms
the staff are incredible at semeli hotel. they are so friendly and truly want to help in anyway they can. there is truthfully nothing they could do better. It is in a fine location, about 20 minute metro from largest tourist attractions. beds are pretty comfy, price is great.
