very nice apartment. Clean well maintained. I recommend it. The beaches are nearby, there was a restaurant opposite the accommodation, as well as a cafe and a supermarket.

What didn't we like. Our room was even better than the pictures, it was clean and the bed's mattress was really comfortable. The pool wasn't crowded and the area in general was really quite which was a plus. Finally the owners were really helpful when we needed help. We would highly recommend it to anyone. Popi is one of the most generous and kindest hosts I have ever met. She made us feel so welcome!! We unfortunately only stayed one night on our way out of Chania. Our apartment (Kleo) was very spacious and I loved the historical building(s). Kalathas Beach, which is gorgeous, is nearby, so staying here for a few days is definitely worth it.

What we were really surprised with was the fact the energy completely shut off when you weren't in the room. Meaning the food we'd left in the fridge was all warm by the time we got back. I realise we all have to be conservative with our energy use but when it's 38 degrees outside, it would have been nice to leave an air conditioner on or fan to keep the place cool. Unfortunately, when we returned to the room after dinner, our drinks were warm and the apartment took about an hour to drop to a comfortable temperature.

Parking was easy. Lovely host. Great views. Good size swimming pool. Comfy beds and all the rooms a good size.

Nothing really worth mentioning … some occasional noise from aircraft taking off from Chania but not really that intrusive.

A really comfortable, spacious self-contained apartment with cooking facilities, great shower and shared swimming pool in the small village of Chorafakia. A number of good tavernas and a well stocked small supermarket nearby. Two excellent beaches - Kalathas and Tersanas - are located about 1km away. Ideal for an uncomplicated, relaxing holiday. The view from our apartment topped the list but only just. The hospitality provided by Popi and her son Dimi was also really excellent … a complimentary breakfast on the first morning, flowers in the apartment and gifts of cake as well as assistance with any needs.

Great place to stay and a beautiful location, a lovely family owned villa. Our hosts looked after us extremely well and could not have been more helpful, i would reccomend this place to anyone. We had a lovely two weeks and did not want to leave. Poppi and her family were lovely hosts. The villa was modern and very clean with fresh bedding and towels every other day. It's everything you want.

Centrally located opposite the best place to eat and shopping and close to beaches. Popi put delicious Dacos and grapes in our fridge and offered the best cake ever! Really pretty place to stay!

- good and warm welcome from the lady Who owns skandalis - very clean and confortable studio - kind intentions on our table everyday (food, drink...) - close to 2 beaches and only 30 min axay from la Canee, but the pool is very useful too

the badroom, hot water was only available at the end of the afternoon. badroom was not clean, fungus on some parts of the shower area. the apartment needs maintenance, front door didn’t close by it self, only using the key.

we stayed in appartement Athenian. this apartment is if we’ll maintained a nice apartment. ha sufficiënt room for two people. the badroom is outdated but could be functional. there are two small balconies (1,5 m2 each) faced towards a busy road so not much privacy.

We booked apartment “with balcony SEA VIEW”but be aware there is no sea at sight… well, there is in the very distance. They should change it on Booking as it’s misleading and it would help to avoid misunderstandings. We tried to point it out when checking in but there is no communication. Unfortunately they cannot speak English ( no English at all, they communicate through google translator app ) Cleaning is very poor ( or maybe Italian standards are too high?) Kitchen is equipped just with basic essentials for eggs and a small breakfast ( we stayed 13 nights and we were not able to properly cook) All flats are by a very busy road, at all times day and night, so not the best if you are looking for a city escape

Mrs Popi and her family are very welcoming. Throughout our 12-nights stay they greeted us with fantastic homemade dakos and delicious cakes. Sadly, their good hospitality and excellent location of the property( very convenient to Stravos beach and Chania city centre) are the only positive comments to share….. :(
