We had a beautiful and spacious room with a comfortable bed and generous bath room. The hotel is meticulously looked after with a beautiful garden and pool area. The surroundings are very calm and the pretty sand beach is only 3 minutes by foot. You can watch the sun set over Paros from there. We had a wonderful and above all very relaxing time. This was made possible by an incredible staff. Super friendly and accommodating. In particular, Nikolas, the manager, went above and beyond himself to help us with any problem we might have. We can recommend this beautiful hotel without any hesitations.

We especially enjoyed the beautiful grounds at the property. The pool is surrounded by palm trees and a mature garden which keeps the wind at bay and feels like an oasis. Nikolas was exceptionally friendly and helpful and we felt most welcome. The room was a great size, well equipped and we really appreciated that is was freshened up for us every day. You really do need transport to stay her as it’s about 5-10 minutes away from the hustle and bustle. However Plaka beach (which is huge) is only a two minute walk away. The kittens were a huge hit with our kids too! We really loved our stay and hope to come back one day.

Valena Mare is not very close to the main strip of bars/restaurants so you either need a car or you can walk down the beach (about 30 mins). We liked the beach walk option!

Valena Mare is a lovely place to stay. It’s tucked away in a quiet spot and isn’t too big so is always quite tranquil. Nico goes above and beyond to make your stay special. We were on honeymoon and he upgraded our room, put a banner up for us and put fresh flowers in our room which was really lovely! We also had to change our booking quite last minute as our ferry to Naxos was cancelled due to bad weather, Nico was so understanding and helped us amend the booking to check in the following day. Nico also sent us many good recommendations for restaurants and a driving route round the island. The room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast is good.

Property is down a dusty road and too far to walk to the beaches or the town, so a car is essential. Although Nikolas is happy to organise this for you before you arrive (saves on the expensive taxi fares!)

Nikolas is an amazing host. This property is more like a b’n’b with such a small amount of rooms you really get a sense of friendship with the other guests and Nikolas. Nikolas was also extremely helpful in finding us a car rental and making us our delicious breakfast each morning! The rooms are a good size, energy saving with fridge space and air conditioning. There are lots of cats at the property (which we loved) and plenty of sun beds for all guests. Would recommend to a friend!

We loved this peaceful oasis close to the beach. The service is great and personal. The breakfast has everything you want and you get a homemade cake every morning if you like!! The rooms have AC and bathrooms are spacious and with a wonderful shower. The pool-area is lush surrounded by palm trees. We didn’t have a car but used the bus services to Agia Ana instead- which is much cheaper and very easy. A five minute walk along the beach takes you to a small road and then you walk another 10 minutes and you find the buses that runs at least every 30 minutes. We loved those beautiful walks during sunset. Bring a torch for the last part if its not a clear night. We always felt safe walking on the beach at night! A few minutes walk from the hotel is a bakery with cakes, bread, soft drinks and coffee. Most importantly the service is exceptional- on our last day we were offered to use a room for showering and rest before leaving, because we were flying home in the late afternoon. We will definitely come back!!

We cannot fault our stay at Valena Mare. Nikolas made us feel incredibly welcome with his friendly nature and was always on hand to provide us with good recommendations for the local area. The property is a real oasis- nestled out the way of the main town and a stones throw from plaka beach. The room was well equipped and kept to a high standard. We particularly loved the pool area which features a plethora of exotic plants! The breakfast provided was fresh and had a great selection.

The hosts Nikolas and Elena were absolutely fantastic! Nothing was too much effort for them. They made us feel incredibly welcome and helped us with any queries we had. The suites were immaculate and the atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful. Also a great location to access some of the islands best beaches. We hired a ATV for the week and this allowed us to explore Naxos beautiful beaches and villages at our own pace. The breakfast each morning was superb and a great way to start the day. We will definitely be back to visit again!

Perfect place for our holidays. Wether in family mode, with friends or looking for a romantic mood, this place is excelent. The photos don't lie and there is much more to it. Very close to a soft white sand beach (about 5 minutes walk). Nautic activities nearby. Even on a windy day the relaxing pool is very protected. Clean, safe and relaxing area. You can choose your own breakfast. Renting a car was a good choice. Nikolas and Maria were great, so thoughtfull, friendly, very kind and concerned with our wellbeing. They gave us lots of great tips on everything, restaurants and activities. We loved it and the kids too. We highly recommend.

Little oasis next to the beach. Greatly appoint room with ample space and great facilities. Nikolas was a great host and made everyone feel like at home. I would 100% recommend is its in a tranquil area 5 min drive away from Plaka beach. The pool is very nice and has a great feel to it.

I have so many positives to say about Valena Mare apartments and the area as a whole, that I don't know where to begin! Nikolas is an absolute gem of a man and he made our experience here 10/10. He gave us his Whatsapp number and he goes out of his way to help you and ensure you're having a great time. Mari was also incredibly friendly and kind throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the smaller cheaper rooms but even so it had nice decor and I can't really fault it. The pool area is beautiful and you feel as though you're in the Caribbean. The breakfast is delicious - you pick what you want each evening and they bring it out to you freshly made. And on our final night Nikolas had some friends over and invited us to have drinks with them in the bar which was a great way to end our stay in Naxos. We chose these apartments as we wanted somewhere more quiet and peaceful to stay following a few days in Mykonos and it is a little difficult to travel around without a car or bike, but Nikolas lent us some bicycles and we found this more than adequate to travel to surrounding beaches such as Agios Prokopios, Agios Anna and Mikri Vigla. The beaches and sunsets in this area are some of the best i've seen and I couldn't recommend this area enough for a relaxing break.

We loved the location as beautiful and quiet but very close to the beach and by car lots of restaurants etc. The swimming pool was great to come home to. The rooms were cleaned daily and spotless. You had to get here via a narrow dirt road - we scratched our rental car which stunk, but overall we appreciated the location because it was quiet but still near everything!

During our trip in June 2023, we had the pleasure o kidf staying at Valena Mare Hotel in Naxos, Greece. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Nikolas, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The hotel's location was absolutely fantastic, situated near all the beautiful beaches in Plaka. A short walk led us to a gorgeous beach, where we spent countless hours enjoying the sun, sand, and crystal-clear waters. We were also delighted to discover that we could even walk to ride horses on the beach from the hotel. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to Naxos Town or Chora was a great advantage. It only took a short drive to immerse ourselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the town, exploring its charming streets and enjoying the local culture. One of the highlights of our stay was the made-to-order breakfast that Nikolas prepared for us each morning. Each afternoon/evening we would fill out a paper that had all of the breakfast choices on it - we could choose as much as we liked! (Pro tip: always get the special treat/dessert!) It was so nice to wake up and not have to think about what we were going to get for breakfast and Nikolas' culinary skills were truly impressive. I must also mention the wonderful housekeeper, Maria, who was an absolute gem. Not only did she keep our room immaculately clean every day, but her cheerful and kind demeanor made our stay even more enjoyable. She went out of her way to interact with our kids, playing with them and even surprising them with little treats. Maria's warm presence added an extra touch of joy to our vacation. The resort itself was a paradise. One of our favorite activities was sitting out by the pool/bar at night, mingling with other guests from all over the world. It was a truly multicultural experience, as we engaged in fascinating conversations and exchanged opinions and experiences.

We loved the location, you are close to where the action is happening (with a car) but bit was an oasis of peace. You felt you were completely closed off from any sounds, walking distance to the beach (5 Minutes) The service and the friendliness off the staff is extraordinary and the room itself is anything you can dream off when you think of a Greek holiday

At the time we were, mid October there were a lot of mosquitoes and bees on the site, and no nets on the windows.

Elena and the team were very kind and helpful. The facilities are great, big rooms, nice swimming pool, lovely garden and 5 min' walk from a beautiful beach
