The only bathroom was in the living room that the family are using which could be a bit awkward at times.

The family living there were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really nice and they had plenty of motorbikes to rent.

The hosts were so lovey and accommodating. It felt like we were welcomed into their home. If we had more time in Indonesia, I would have loved to stay there for a month.

It's not about the homestay but to point out the season and Ruteng's high humidity- it was always very rainy so it would take more than a day to dry clothes. I'd prefer visitors to stay more than one night here if you have wet stuff from the way.

I have stayed quite long - one week in D rima and one day more on the way back from Bajawa (March). My room was comfortable, it's was usually quet around.The atmosphere gave me feeling like I'm part of the family. Daily breakfasts were good and the ordered pumpkin soups were very delicious! Thank you so much!

Linda and her husband are really nice and friendly hosts, we felt very welcomed!! The place is super clean, the bed is comfortable and they will serve you a tasty breakfast. Good location, not far from the local market. We came back during our roundtrip in Flores :)

The room I stayed in had a weird chemical smell. Luckily, after 5 minutes in it, you do not smell it anymore.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. You are really living in one of the rooms of the house and sharz the living room with the family, a real homestay. Ricardo gave me a lot of info on how to travel best around Flores. Could rent a motorbike there for 3 days and leave my big backpack at the homestay until I came back from my little motorbike trip. Bed was very comfy and room was spacious. There is a small shared bathroom with hot water and good pressure.

The homestay is located in the center with many food shops and everything you need around. Ricardo and his family are amazing, very kind and welcoming. It was a great experience to stay with and talk to the whole family including their children. I could also enjoy a nice breakfast before I left. You can also do tours with Ricardo or rent a scooter. I can only recommend staying here. Thank you :)

Trips good but expensive. You must compare prices. I paid 300 K 15 Euro for a scooter taxi to hobbit cave and 700 K to waerebo. Probably too much.

Spotless, breakfast good, host nice, polite and generous, Ricardo and Darniel do speak English and help organising trips.

Free water for guests would have been appreciated, or at least less than the cost of a new bottle to refill. A very minor cost to refill bottles considering the overall affordable homestay though.

Ricardo and Linda are fantastic hosts. Accommodation is simple but all you need, you are made very welcome in their home and truly Linda is an exception cook - I hope she starts cooking lessons! Ricardo is always ready to chat and share his life experiences and discuss the local / wider Flores itinerary options. As a solo traveller not confident to drive a scooter on my own, I also booked a scooter + guide/driver through Ricardo and had the most amazing day with a sunrise start! My guide Yuven was superb and I felt looked after for the full day as if he was hosting a family member in Ruteng - Yuven is full of information, has excellent English, is a safe and confident driver (I felt like a princess on the back of the scooter for the day, as we coasted through small villages with everyone keen to wave to the bule!). We also had some side trips after the agreed itinerary to his uncle's home to escape the rain with a Flores Coffee, a Kim fruit buying mission at the market and a local volleyball game. Stay at D-Rima homestay if you are seeking affordable simple accommodation with local connections!

Very authentic Homestay, very friendly and helpful family. We had a nice chat with them. They booked the Gunung Mas bus for us. Good and new scooters for rent, but they were more expensive compared to other scooters we had. Breakfast was basic and could be improved a little bit, maybe that you would have a bit more choices. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.

Shared bathroom could have been a little cleaner, small room

Really friendly host. Helped us booking the Gunung Mas busses for all our next destinations in Flores. Had scooter for rent. Amazing food, especially the dinner.
