Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

The service is exceptional, especially for the price range. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyday water and snacks complimentary. They rent out snorkel equipment and bicycles for a very reasonable price. Breakfast is great. We had pancakes, eggs and fresh fruit every morning. They have a wide variation of foods in the restaurant. You actually have no need to go out but that would be a shame cause Gili Air is a lovely island to explore.

GermanyThe room itself is okay, don't expect too much, although the bed was comfortable.
Everything was there, you didn't have to get out of the hotel. There's a reef just at the hotel beach for snorkeling. Food is available, included breakfast was good. Nice outdoor bathroom.

United States of AmericaI loved my 2 week stay at Kaluku Gili Resort. The staff were great, the accommodations were comfortable, and the amenities were thoughtful. It’s a quiet location at night and the beach is perfect for meals as well as snorkeling directly off of as the reef is just a short swim out.

The location is the best on the island and the accommodation itself was nice too. The beach that belonged to the resort was clean, only sometimes there was some trash, but it was nothing compare to other locations on the island. We were lucky enough to see the turtles just 50m far from the beach and lots of various species of fish. We also enjoyed the option to pay our expenses (drinks, meals) in the end of our stay. The staff was super nice, always tried to help and answer all our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

United States of AmericaThis resort is fantastic. Every room has its own water spout in front to clean off your feet and any sandy beachwear. The bathroom, half open air, has another too. I love there’s a walk in closet to properly unpack, and a chair in the room to sit on when not wanting to lay in bed. The TV has news and travel stations, and the minibar is stocked every day. I always have plenty of bottled water, coffee, tea, chips, and cookies. I also had daily room cleaning service with fresh towels. Breakfast was included in my stay and the portions are huge. I travel with my own snorkel and mask but rented fins every day to snorkel straight from the beach which there’s beautiful coral, plenty of small and big fish, and of course the turtles. My first reservation was for 6 nights and I extended another 8 nights! I value the hospitality of the staff and absolutely love that they greet me with, “Welcome home,” after being out and about. I did feel right at home.

United KingdomWasn’t keen on the outside toilet as there were loads of mosquitos!! Also just a bit annoying in the middle of the night but that’s just personal preference.
Beautiful resort in a good area that was pretty quiet at night. The highlight for us was the breakfast which is included and was just amazing!! So much food! Also get a welcome drink and welcome massage!! The rooms are really nice too!

South KoreaWe spent 10 days here ! In terms of location and price , I would say here is a gem. Especially with kids, you could enjoy both in in- house pool or snorkelling all days in the beach, right in front of the hotel! Our family love walk along seaside when low tide in the morning. We visit Gili air in Janaury and i was worrying the wet season, but turns out nothing to worry, it do rain but just overnight , sometimes in the morning, but most of the days we stay here we could see sunshine , and the ocean under sunshine is different! The coral reef is stunning, I could spent 2 to 3 hours to swim around. LIke the layback vibe here, we could just cycling around, pick a beach and relax, also there're couple of nice restaurants in the island , good place for whom looking for a true sense of escape.

LithuaniaWe had some issues at the begging of the stay but the staff solved everything perfectly. Oh just the air conditioner made strange at night:)) but it was such a minor thing compared to the amazing time we had here.
Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at Kaluku Gili Resort, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Traveling with a 5-year-old can be challenging, but the resort made everything seamless and enjoyable for us all. The highlight of our stay was definitely the beautiful beachfront view from our bungalow. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the serene ocean view was truly magical. The resort's location is perfect, offering a tranquil atmosphere that's just what we needed for a relaxing family getaway. The breakfast at the resort was exceptional, with a wide variety of options to satisfy every palate. Our mornings started with delicious meals that fueled our days of adventure. The pool was another favorite spot for our family, especially for our son, who could have happily spent all day splashing around in it. One of the things we appreciated the most was the resort's thoughtfulness in providing amenities like bicycles and snorkeling equipment. Exploring the island on bikes and snorkeling in the clear waters was a fantastic experience. The sea life was vibrant, and swimming amongst the turtles and colorful fish was a highlight of our trip. What truly set Kaluku Gili Resort apart was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their kindness towards our son was heartwarming; they treated him like a little friend, which made our stay even more special. It's not just the stunning location or the excellent facilities that make this resort wonderful—it's the people who work there. We cannot recommend Kaluku Gili Resort enough to families looking for a slice of paradise. The combination of the beautiful surroundings, exceptional service, and family-friendly atmosphere makes it a place we'll definitely return to. Thank you for giving us such beautiful memories!

ChinaAs mentioned in other reviews, the hotel rooms are a little dated, but honestly we didn’t stay in them long enough for it to be a problem. They were comfy and everything worked!
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is wonderful, only a 15 minute walk to the village and directly on the beach front! Hotel staff were great at arranging a transfer from the harbour, and helping with other requests too. We snorkelled with turtles nearly everyday, and on occasion had snorkel trips stopping as the reefs and turtles were so beautiful! The food was also some of the best we had on the island!

AustraliaThe pool is toward the back of the property and was as warm as a bath.
Stunning location right on turtle beach - I swam out to the drop half a dozen times and got to see a full-grown sea turtle every time (I don't know if they're seasonal but their size, closeness, and comfort with humans blew away all expectations). I saw a couple of huge green turtles five minutes swim from the resort. The turtles would have made any hotel a worthwhile stay, but Kaluku Resort is lovely in its own right. The beach and reef are beautiful, and the resort has direct beach frontage (well, you have to cross a path) - there is a bit of sea grass and coral rubble before you reach live corals about 30 metres out. The staff is wonderful. They were all warm, efficient, and welcoming, without being intrusive (nobody is pushy on Gili Air). Breakfast is simple but nice. Nasi goreng was the pick of the breakfast options and the juices were lovely. They serve food all day and there are many options close to the hotel. I got a bungalow, which was very clean and comfortable, and had a view of the reef. Be aware that the seating is outside, so I did spend a fair bit of time sitting on the bed to catch the a/c, which did the job well even on roasting hot days. Gili Air is non-motorised, which keeps things quiet, except for the ubiquitous reggae and power ballads playing from each restaurant. The resort is to the north of the island. Being able to bike down to the port on departure (with staff bringing my bag by e-bike) was great, but I had a sweaty, sweaty, sweaty, walk up on arrival. I highly recommend liaising with the hotel before you arrive (I did not, which was my mistake) to see if they can make this process easier. Great value.

The excellent staff, the extremely good location, the cleanliness, and the free water, coffee, tea, sweets, freshly poured in the room every day. As well as the fact that right across from us on the shore, the water is very pleasant and the location is perfect for snorkeling, and you can here also meet turtles.
