My stay at Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa in Ubud was very good. The staff were nice and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast provided was delicious, offering a variety of options. Additionally, the hotel offers many different activities to choose from. As part of my package, I received afternoon tea.

What a gorgeous property right next to bustling Ubud. We were amazed at how quiet and serene as soon as we stepped on the property. Really, the most beautiful grounds we’ve ever seen. How lovely to have rice paddies right inside the resort.

AustraliaAfternoon tea is offered, but there wasn’t enough seating for all guests on one of the days we visited so we missed out.
A stay at the Plataran is always lovely. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, the grounds are beautiful and peaceful, the location is central and the staff are lovely. I really enjoy that there is always space at the pool and you can walk around the beautiful grounds and enjoy bird life and a feeling of being in nature.

AustraliaThe villa with a pool felt a bit dated and dark, lacking sufficient seating—only one office chair in the entire space. Adding a couple of day beds near the plunge pool would be beneficial. While the live bamboo music in the morning was a nice touch, the simultaneous jazz playing became a bit annoying. Additionally, the discovery of small droppings was a downside.
Enjoyed the manicured gardens and friendly staff at this centrally located yet peaceful spot. The breakfast and spa was particularly noteworthy for its excellence.

South AfricaThe location of this hotel is excellent. You can walk to many attractions. Although close to the main street, you would never know this because the hotel is tucked away. You could easily think you were in a forest because the property is so lush. The staff here are all amazing. They were all sincerely kind & friendly. I dont think there was anything i could have asked for that they could not fulfill. I was also given a gracious room upgrade at check in. I was concerned with my 1am check in but had the best check in experience. There was a good variety at breakfast. There were different items every morning.

The property is beautiful, the views from the restaurant and our room were perfect. It was such a pleasure to walk in from the bustle of the street in to such a calm and tranquil environment. Everything we ate at the restaurant was truly delicious and as a coeliac I could confidently enjoying a variety of delicious Indonesian dishes; a meal on the outdoor deck became our favorite spot in Ubud! We alternated between the two swimming pools and appreciated the opportunities to particpate in the guest activities including weaving a “kisa” & making Jamu; our interactions with all staff were warm and friendly. The hotels CHSE certification was evident and I appreciated the measures taken to be environmentally sustainable.

It was my second stay at Plataran Ubud. And just like my previous stay, I had a wonderful stay here. The location was great, close to restaurants and cafes, and especially close to my favorite yoga studio. Even it is located at the center of Ubud, I felt so quiet and peaceful and close to nature during my stay.

United KingdomThe room itself was small - we had two twins pushed together in from of a side tables. Because of this, it closed off the space behind us and meant we had no head board. Through the connecting door in our room, we could hear almost everything that next door was saying (well she was upset with her partner so maybe she was speaking louder than usual but still, we shouldn’t be hearing the TV and private conversations next happening next door in a 5 star hotel. Also the afternoon tea could have more variety / options for other diets.
The staff were so amazing especially the breakfast crew who went out of their way to help me find vegan alternatives. The cleaning is great. The atmosphere wonderful. The attention to detail excellent.
