Very average cafe style food for "5" star hotel , un sure how this rating is achieved . We also had 5 people,at our dinner,table, the meals were all served separately over a period of time so the last person was just being served as the first was finishing ..that's not 5 star service. Staff were generally slow to respond across the 4 nights we stayed so again hard to know how hotel ratings are achieved. We have stayed at many 3 or 4 star with better food and service across Indonesis . We won't stay here again .

The hallway leading to my room - 8th floor - was quite dirty. Looks like it had water damaged, the wall paper were peeling, and what looks like water stain on the skirting. Small pool for a big hotel. No soundproofing. I can hear cars and motorbikes passing by from my room, people chatting on the hallway, and children playing in the pool on the 6th floor.

The room was spacious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location. Walking distance to shops and eateries. Spa

The first time I came to the reception for check in, they were really friendly, I forgot the name of the man who greeted me :( he is super helpful! But then they change the reception, the lady wasn't that friendly or helpful and she kinda ignored me tho

I really appreciated their response when I asked them to help to prepare a small cake to prepare my partner's bday, They were really into it and the mini pie was so tasty!

The interiors in the room can be reworked especially in the bottom portions. Since current light source can't work in laptops and Light in the room can be a little more bright

The premises are in prime location to stay and access to various locations. I chosen this property in line with Surabaya Expo and the breakfast was so good mixed with continental as well as Indonesian food . We have conducted one event with a capacity of 30 pax and the hall is beautiful and looks an international standard. The staffs are so cool and well in communication and very kind in support even though we have any doubt.

Nothing I could fault

The location of the hotel is nearby all amenities if you drive. Tunjungan plaza is probably 15 mins walk . By grab is IDR 15 000 or about SGD 2. No minimart nearby that I know of. The staff was very polite and the room is comfy but the lighting could be a bit brighter. The breakfast is not too bad.

The hotel looked much older now as compared to when I stayed here before. For example, the towels were not as 'bright white' as before, the bathroom tap was a bit hard to turn, and things like that. The only minus point was the room had no ventilation, felt a bit dry and stuffy to me (even with the air conditioner turned on). The TV channels could be better too, at least with better signal.

The room was really big for this price and I really liked its spacious design/arrangement. I also liked the bathroom and bathtub, with the glass window facing the room. The location was very convenient to travel around Surabaya (big mall within walking distance). I did not try other facilities in the hotel, but a brief walk gave me the impression that they were well kept.
