Bali is “smiling everywhere” but amazing Shunyata team here really welcoming, so friendly, warm, attentive, helpful, full of kindness combined to a high standard and professional service. Excellent cook, the view from restaurant is wonderful. Beautiful and extremely clean and superb spacious totally private Villa well maintained and high quality furnished. Beautiful decoration combining modern and Balinese style with artistic artworks and all modern comfort. The bathroom is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Everything is wonderful and perfect. The private swimming pool facing the sea is large enough for having good swimming. Large and very comfortable bed, excellent wifi. A desk, sofas, a place with small fridge, a kettle, tea coffee items … free filtered water refilled daily and fruits are provided and some other touches. Incredible infinity swimming pool of the property! I had great massage. Shunyata Villas works with some taxi drivers ; Shunyata’s politic is to make local people working. Same prices through them or directly. Last year we did several tours with Tirta, a taxi driver who let us discover beautiful places we didn’t expect to see. We did some other tours with him this year again. Once again an absolute wonderful and gorgeous place as much as an incredible team. We thank you a lot! and we will for sure be back again if we come back to Bali.

I initially booked three nights here to celebrate our engagement and my partner’s birthday. But we liked it so much that we ended up extending our stay by two nights, which says a lot! The villas are beautiful and spacious (especially the bathrooms) and the private pool facing the ocean is a sight you never get bored of. The secluded location means that it is perfect gateway to reset after the busy Bali vibes. Everyone in the staff is amazing, clearly a five star service from the welcoming to the table services through all the little cares. They even organized a surprise romantic candlelight dinner at the villa for my partner on his birthday which was perfect! The food is really exquisite from breakfast to dinner, with choice between typical balinese dishes and more western flavors. We had a few massages during our stay which were great. We felt like this was the perfect balance between intimacy, amazing scenery, and luxury service: calme luxe et volupté. Thank you, we can’t wait to come back !

There really wasn't anything worth mentioning that could be improved - it was an incredibly relaxing experience and pleasant stay.

The views from the entire property are beautiful. Each villa (we stayed in two) is spacious, private, well decorated, and relaxing to be in. The food at the restaurant was homemade and natural, with dietary considerations always taken into account by the staff. Massages were excellent, accompanied by the calming sound of the waves breaking at the foot of the cliff. At night time, you could turn the lights off and see so many stars in the sky - it really is secluded. Finally, the staff were always warm, friendly, accommodating and professional. An absolutely perfect stay in paradise.

No dislikes but things to note..Never really saw or interacted with other guests so as a solo traveler, my only company was (beautiful) staff. Serene location is quite remote. Have to obtain a driver to go anywhere of interest, but if staying put, relaxing and not socialising is at the top of your list, then this is perfect. You need not leave the resort, or your villa for that matter! There are a lot of stairs so if you find them challenging it might be worth asking for a room with the least amount of them.

Amazing accommodation, staff and food in private, serene surroundings. No request is a problem and the service is fantastic! Communication is forthcoming and definitely luxurious. Treatments were sublime. Thank you Sabine and staff!

We were really sad when we had to leave this amazing place to move to our next destination!

The stay could not have been better and was just perfect! With the warm welcome from the manager Sabine we knew from the first second that we had made the right choice. In this oasis of calm we could forget our stressful jobs at home and focus on the present moment. We haven't been this relaxed in ages. The sound of the sea, the beautiful view, the untouched nature, the luxurious villa and especially the loving and helpful people there have totally convinced us! The entire service team was always very friendly and attentive. We were very happy. The food was first class, very tasty and made from the best products from local farmers. We were provided free filtered water and it was refilled daily. We could eat and drink everything easily without worrying about "Bali Belly". Moreover we could always decide whether to enjoy the food in the villa or in the restaurant. In addition, Sabine gives an above-average effort in planning activities and making sure that we are fine. The drivers provided by Shunyata Villas Bali, Bokah and Kartika, also convinced us very much, they were extremely friendly, they know the most beautiful places and you can have a great conversation with them on long trips. In the village nearby you can walk and talk with the locals without hesitation, they are very warm and hospitable. We are very happy to come back and will remember the stay forever! It really felt like paradise! Thank you for the wonderful time!

All was great!

1. Food - it was really important for us. And every breakfast and every dinner was exceptional! Especially Romantic Dinner set, especially perfectly cooked seafood and dessert. 2. Location - in sky villa it was amazing view and really calm surrounding. 3. SPA - amazing experience. They have special place outside, where you can hear sounds of sea. 4. Service - amazing staff. Didn’t realise it was more of a “retreat” type of place. Not much choice in terms of drinks, not much activity or “happy hours” to be expected.

Super quiet and isolated! The infinity pool facing the ocean is beautiful, whether in your villa or the 30m one ! Staff was particularly friendly and helpful. It’s all beautifully designed and natural.

There is no TV in the villa which was ok for us but might be a problem for others. Hot water ran out on our last day.

The private pool and interior of the villa was amazing. We loved the privacy and quietness of the place. The food was great. I can highly recommend staying here as a couple.

A bit far from the usual touristic attractions, Ubud, Denpasar. Spent quite a lot on transport going anywhere. No beach, have to go elsewhere for swimming, snorkling, diving.

Great and healthy breakfast, served in the villa. Beautiful green surroundings, views at the ocean. Food is of the healthy and sustainable type, very appropriate for detox and of great quality and choice. Best place to stay put, relax and recover from life's stresses.

If you are looking to be busy with tours, etc. every day, this may not be your place as it is in a remote location. If you are looking for deep rest, comfort, beauty, and to be taken care of, look no further. We had already done our touring around Bali before we arrived here for our last 5 days of our vacation. It was a perfect way to end the trip!

This is an amazing property with incredible design and beauty in every direction. The staff are very attentive and seem to operate as a close knit family, even though they are not blood relatives. The views are spectacular; the rooms are top notch and comfortable. The food is prepared fresh each meal with love.

Food was terrible. Dinner was okay but a la carte menu disappointing. Breakfast almost unedible. Restaurant closes at 10 pm so if you are jet lagged and are staying up make sure you bring snacks, nothing is open close by.

Great views. Virgin beach nearby. Amazing for relaxation. Clean rooms and prompt room service.
