Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Taman Sari is a wonderful hotel. We booked a 3 bedrooms villa at first, we found there is one room on the 2nd floor. Because my friends do have a lot of luggages, the hotel upgraded us to four rooms villa for free. Which is really sweet. I regret that we came here during the rainy season and the weather was not particularly good. I will definitely come back to Taman Sari next time if I have a chance! Thank all the stuffs very much

AustraliaThe day we arrived, the beach was full of litter which was not great but not a fault of the resort
Buffet breakfast would have been better as it was an a la carte menu and found it a bit limited but the food was good.

Super little resort - almost family run. Lovely individual detached rooms, good home cooked food with a decent choice at fabulous prices. Decent massages and very close to dive shops for diving the Liberty wreck. Brilliant little resort.

United States of AmericaRestaurant food needs improving. But that wouldn't keep me from going back. We live in Bali & our visits to Taman Sari are our regular treat to ourselves :)

The whole resort is great, not overly priced like most resorts, meals were served quickly and were always good, the pool area is fantastic, rooms are spacious and clean the shower area is open so you see the stars while having a shower, the staff are helpful and always say hello and even the onsite shop had good prices for clothing, overall I wished I could have stayed longer

United KingdomNot a negative but we found it was better to put up an addition mosquito net overnight. The bigger breakfasts weren't great, and we preferred the pancakes.
Staff were lovely and very helpful. Perfect location to snorkel from the beach. Toilet roll, tea, coffee, 2x water replenished daily. Staff provide 2x mosquito repellent burners every evening, one at front and back of room. Clean room and facilities.

DenmarkThe beach and water in February was filled with plastic. Its not the resports fault, but its nasty. Breakfast was average and the service seemed a bit unentusiastic. You find many better and cheaper restaurants a short walk down the beach or at the main road close by.
We stayed 2 adults and 4 children in a private villa. The villa is HUGE and could easily fit more people. The private pool is surprisingly big and great fun for a family, and the garden is really nice and crawling with frogs and cats. A perfect combination of fun and privacy. The restaurant and pool area right at the beach are a perfect location. Snorkling at the artificial bio-rock reef is surprisingly fun and has lots of fish, but the experience can not compete with the natural reefs you find at Menjangan. Massage at the resort spa was cheap and really good. All in all a great resort for a few days

I think that this is one of the best hotels that I have ever stayed in, in Bali and I have stayed in a few different types. It is incredible value for money, right on the beach, very clean rooms, lovely staff, good breakfast and snorkelling equipment available to hire and well worth doing.

United KingdomUnfortunately the lunch and dinner menu was not very exciting and expensive and the food was not special. It was not clear that the diving school was seperate to the hotel. In fact there were several signs to it in the hotel. We booked a trip to Menjanen island because of this and afterwards we realised we had paid twice the price that was available further down the beach for the same deal.
We absolutely loved the Taman Sari. The best place we have ever stayed in Bali and so relaxing. Wonderful position on the beach. Breakfast and dinner on the beach. Very friendly staff. Wonderful maintained gardens. Lovely pools. Good spa. Great breakfast with lots of choice and variety.

AustraliaAlthough the hotel provided mosquito incense everywhere, and a mosquito net above the bed, it is hard to avoid them. I’ve never been attacked by so many in my life. Make sure you bring your own mosquito spray, especially when having dinner at the hotel restaurant!
Feels like old Bali. Beautiful location with the mountains on one side and the beach on the other. We loved snorkling the biorocks just at the beach in front of the property.

Australia* drawers/cupboard space with more coat hangers; * a ceiling fan in the outside bathroom to circulate the air, as the outside bathroom had privacy walls around which trapped in the heat, with hot humid days and nights, meant that at times the bathroom was a bit stifling (appreciated the extra mosquito coils to keep the bugs at bay during the night); * early evening mosquito fogging of areas around the villas (not that mosquitoes were much of an issue) though that might be hazardous to the local frog and mosquito population * a ceiling fan in the bedroom, would help circulate the cool air-conditioned air; * changing the variety of the breakfast menu - using more seasonal fruit in the juices.
It is in a great location, well laid out, with huge, landscaped grounds, and right on the beach. Our suite was centrally located, near the pool, the restaurant and the beach, with a deck/verandah looking out towards the pool. The room was fully airconditioned, with large bed, complete with mosquito nets. It had a small bar fridge, television, room safe, and plenty of wardrobe space. The suite had an outside bathroom, with a sky shower. It also had a Balinese gazebo/day bed to the side with a surrounding fishpond (full of very healthy-looking goldfish/carp). The staff are so polite. welcoming and helpful, with the gardening staff, constantly maintaining the grounds in perfect condition. Breakfast and other meals are provided at the resort's beachfront restaurant, Poleng. It was so relaxing sitting under the trees with the sand beneath your feet every morning. The sea view pool, next to the bamboo bar, had a separate shallower kid's pool with a longer deeper pool adjacent. There were always enough pool lounges, most of them were hardly used whilst we were there. The 'compulsory' New Year's Eve celebration was so well organised - with a large buffet, including suckling pig, sates, seafood, duck and traditional dishes. More food then could be consumed by the guest. The band, the traditional Balinese dancers, the fun competitions and door prizes kept everyone entertained. The finale watching the fireworks explode over the bay, from my beach beanbag was so memorable. We so enjoyed the ability of being able to walk down to the beach and go snorkelling on the offshore coral reef and Biorock project any time we wanted. You can easily hire googles, snorkels and fins from the adjacent Karang Dive shop if you haven't brought your own.
