The hotel is lovely and staff so friendly

Pints of guiness very poorly pulled, sloppy in both the bar and at the event we were staying at the hotel for. Slow replies from the spa meant it was booked up when I eventually got the answer to my query so missed out on having treatments done.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful and replied quickly to queries via email. Bed was comfortable room and bathroom was spotless.

Room was too warm, also paid to go into the thermal suite but sauna was not working during visit so could only use steam rooms. Pool was extremely busy and noisy with lots of kids

Restaurant closed and the menu in the evening was the bar food in the terrace. Disappointing. Couldn't get a cocktail until Wednesday night at 10.00 when the bar opened, from arriving on Monday.

We booked the hotel as we had a young adult with special needs with us who loves the pool. The pool closed and got email on the morning of our arrival to say it would be closed for 5 days. We were staying for 1 night but yet the pool was open the next morning but we weren't told. We had a meal in the lounge and we were waiting a long time on the food, there seemed to be a shortage of staff. We arrived at 10.15 for breakfast which was self service we had to request that the hot water be replenished to make tea and also there were no pastries replenished. Breakfast was not worth 14 euro as it wasn't fresh tasting.

The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The room was cold about 9.00 pm as there was no heating on in the room. I rang reception and a lady delivered a heater to our room immediately. The hotel is in an ideal location when you are driving and the gym was good.

St Patricks night entertainment was very poor, we were told it was live entertainment, but it was some guy on a lap top playing mostly pop music, on the most Irish night of the year. Guests were walking out, he didnt play any Irish music until I went up and requested it.

The hotel site was quite beautiful. Checking in and out was quick. Comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities.

The TV in our room wouldn't connect and there where no channels on it we did talk to reception about it they said they'd send someone up but they didn't so we had no tv

We left the thing on the outside of the door for the room to be serviced while we where gone for the day. When we arrived back we found the thing to be taken off the door and put back on the inside but no. Room was serviced. Was not one bit happy with this with the price we payed and for the room not to be serviced. when checking out the gentleman at the front desk said he would take note of it and was very nice about it all

Lift should have reception level marked as didn’t know where I was going and ended walking down the stairs.

The noise of other guests coming and going from their rooms in the hallways was quite noisy, not boisterous noisy, but you could hear every movement and chatter of the other guests from inside our hotel room throughout our stay when they were walking up and down the hallways, this may be due to the fact that the hotel room doors are either to thin or that the gap they have at the bottom of the room door is too big. Our concerns were that if we could hear everything that was happening outside our room then we were concerned about the privacy within our room too when guests were passing by outside the room. We also thought the 11am check out was a bit early, it is usually a 12pm check out for 99.9% of hotels we have ever stayed in, so we were surprised when we were notified about the 11am check out.

The hotel, the rooms and the staff are all excellent. The lobby area near the reception and the sitting area on the first floor are really elegant and chilled areas to enjoys a few drinks or tea and coffee, the two areas have a really good vibe to them.

The breakfast finish time for a Sunday morning was too early. They should push it out by an hour.
