Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The wifi connection was poor from the room.
The room and the view were beautiful. The location is very nice and easy to reach from Dublin city centre.

being judged for being "different". it was st patrick's day and we were wearing clothing for it and because my boyfriend has some dreads locks, we were stopped by a man asking what we were doing there. the receptionist was lovely. top cleaning lady even if we don't met them. not much hot water.
nice room. TV ok, train near the building, nice bed.

Room was clean but there was dust in places like on the side tables which is a high touch point and made me think what else wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Pool was great but there was no notice anywhere that where would be swimming lessons for young kids and that it would take up a part of the pool. The Steam room and jacuzzi were out of operation on the day which was disappointing.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Helped us check in early with it being so busy which was extremely helpful for our plans. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Air conditioning is always a bonus.

Lift didn't work first night. Rooms a bit dated. Keep it simple .
Lovely efficient staff. Loved pionest playing Friday afternoon. Food was excellent Great swimming pool and facilities.

Dinner menu was served with no side plain fish fillet which I found odd. Food took time to be served. Patches of the furniture at Hardy's Bistro was dusty.

It’s a bit of old world and would be so nice to maybe have a door man to greet everyone… it was very busy with people coming and going on Mother’s Day weekend and it needs to feel like you have arrived there and that the foyer is not just a meeting place….keep the bustle but give it a frame!
Beds were great. Lovely little present of a box of chocolates for my mother on her birthday! Gorgeous location though the weather was Cat!

The door of the room did not close spontaneously.

The fact the water tipped a glass of water over my lap before my meal and I was given just a few napkins... had to go back to my room and dry my jeans .... and he was rude as if it was my faulf he hit the glass

I called for room service on the second night and it took over an hour to get through. I ended up ordering via reception. I take on board this would have been a busy time between 6-7pm, but feel they should have had a message explaining delays rather than the phone being off the hook.
The room was a really good size and very comfortable. I used the spa facilities and was really happy with the facilities and the treatment I had, it was very reasonably prices for the length of the treatment.

Our room shared a door with the adjacent room with apparently very thin walls. We were woken up multiple times in the middle of the night due to the guests next door.

The TV in my room would not play live TV channels only movies channel options so I came to Hardys Bar to watch the Irish Rugby Team play against England and found that no sound would be allowed.. I understand if this was a quiet area of the hotel but this is the Bar.. to which I would imagine Entertaining the guests is key factor.
The location of the Hotel was fantastic for my visit. The staff in the Hotel i found to be extremely pleasant and friendly with the exception of the Bar staff which I did find a little bit uncomfortable. I arrived to the bar area to watch the Ireland V England Rugby match in the 6 nations which is an amazing tournament for Irish Rugby. When myself and another group of people who had come to the hotel bar to view the Match we were told that the volume need to be off I was actually a little bit shocked and quiet annoyed if iam being honest.

Few minor issues that could have easily been resolved at the time but unfortunately were not. Initially given 1 morning complimentary breakfast which was very much appreciated as the sauna and hot tub were out of action and this was a big draw for why we initially booked the hotel. Upon going down for the breakfast we were confronted by a member of staff who had called ourselves out in front of many guests and questioning as to why we have got the complimentary breakfast and what felt like a type of interrogation. I had also asked if possible if the hotel would be able to leave a message for my sons birthday on the Sunday 3rd March and a member of staff had said they would arrange a card and chocolates, but this never happened. I understand this was entirely of the hotel’s discretion but it was disappointing when we were informed it would happen for it to not.
Note and surrounding area was beautiful. Rooms were great size and entire hotel was very clean. Would certainly return.
